ENTRY DEADLINE: Monday, June 1st, 2015. Entries will be accepted ONLINE ONLY- no hand-delivered, emailed, couriered or
posted entries. No refunds on entry fees, pre-paid admissions, or programs for any reason.
PLEASE NOTE: To complete an online entry, you will be required to submit either a credit card payment or bank account transfer
using PayPal. You are NOT required to have a PayPal account to complete a registration if you choose the credit card payment
option.

Hampton Inn & Suites has reserved rooms at the special base rate of $119 + tax for Red Deer Highland Games
competitors, vendors and guests. Hampton Inn and Suites is the closest hotel to our event and has agreed to push the
check-out time to 1PM to allow morning competitors to check out after competing. The hotel provides a continental breakfast
with the room. Please book your room by June 1st - first come first served. Call 403-346-6688

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1. Competitions are governed by the rules and regulations of the SOBHD and ScotDance Canada.
2. Entry fees will not be refunded for any reason.
3. Entries will be divided by age into classes after the closing date. The competition committee reserves the right to combine, split
or delete classes at close of entries. Competitor age taken as of June 27th, 2015.
4. It is the responsibility of parent or guardian to ensure the dancer is entered in the correct class.
5. Status changes must be submitted to [email protected] or 403-314-9090 by 8pm, June 10th 2015. Status
changes will NOT be accepted on the day of competition.
6. All dancers must present SOBHD cards and be in costume to receive awards. Dancers will be fined $5.00 if the mandatory
SOBHD card is not provided at time of check-in. Any earned medals/cash will be withheld until the card is presented to the
Competition Secretary or Awards Coordinator.
7. Competitors dance in inverse order of entry. Competitors must be on hand when their event is called or may forfeit the entry in
that event.
8. Cash prizes to be awarded as follows: Premier 16 & over: 1st-$40, 2nd-$35, 3rd-$30, 4th- $25, 5th-$20, 6th--$15
9. Placings will be half the participating group number for even totals, half plus one for odd, up to a max. 6 placings. Further
placings may be awarded based on group size and at the judges' discretion. Aggregate winners will be awarded based on total
overall dance points. Special dances and choreography will not be included in this total. High aggregate winners will not be
awarded in the primary group(s).
10. Judges’ decisions are final. No one other than the competition committee shall communicate with the judge.
11. Protests must be made in writing, signed and given to the competition secretary before the end of the competition with a
$10.00 fee. The fee is refundable if the protest is sustained.
