Authentic Goods & Merchandise Vendor Packet Sunday, May 17, 2015 Takoma-Piney Branch Local Park/Ed Wilhelm Athletic Field 2 Darwin Ave. Takoma Park, Maryland 20912 www.takomaparkmd.gov/recreation 301-891-7290 VENDOR INFORMATION The Celebrate Takoma will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Takoma- Piney Branch Neighborhood Park. Festival hours are 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm with last call taking place at 4:30 pm. The festival will be held rain or shine. The Celebrate Takoma is a family event – costumes and decorations of your native country are highly recommended. Registration deadline (office stamped or post office stamped) is Friday, April 3, 2015 by the close of business (5pm). Spaces are limited based on completed application and as space permits. Don’t wait to submit your application. Please read this vendor application thoroughly for fees and regulations. Once received, the applications will be judged by the review committee to ensure a variety of vendors are at the festival. Registration fees are to be paid by cash or money order. Money order should be made payable to: City of Takoma Park. The Festival Committee will not be responsible for any loss beyond our control. AUTHENTIC GOODS & MERCHANDISE VENDOR FEES (per space) NO COMMERCIAL ITEMS OR VENDORS Authentic goods & merchandise craft vending spaces will be 10’ x 10’ in size. Each vendor will be held responsible for the removal of their trash to the appropriate receptacle provided on the festival grounds and vacate the premises by 6:00 pm. *Authentic Goods & Merchandise Craft Fees Submitted: Vendors: by April 3th $40.00 April 4th and after $50.00 Note: Vendors having an establishment in Takoma Park or the local surrounding area (Silver Spring, Langley Park) will receive priority. Vendors outside that area will be considered if space permits. Compostable-ware preferred. Use of Styrofoam is strictly prohibited!! *Failure to comply will result in immediate shutdown and dismissal from festival. *NO REFUNDS - This event will take place rain or shine SPACE IS LIMITED – DON’T WAIT TO SUBMIT RULES & REGULATIONS Authentic Goods & Merchandise Vendors Committee Approved Vendors Please NO COMMERCIAL ITEMS OR VENDORS SET UP IS AT 11:00 AM ~All vendors must: *have a permanent sales tax account *provide their own tent, tables and chairs (please prepare for the weather) *have prices posted for public view *park cars in designated vendor parking *depart the festival grounds by 6:00 pm but no earlier than 5:00 pm * use of Styrofoam is strictly prohibited!! ~ Set up is based on first come, first served ~No food or beverages may be sold in the authentic goods & merchandise craft vendor area ~Space for all vendors is 10’ x 10’ (must adhere to this spacing) ~The sale and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited ~NO VENDOR WILL BE ALLOWED TO SET-UP AFTER 11:30 AM *Registration fees are non-refundable in the event of tardiness or no-shows ~Due to entertainment stages in nearby area no individual music can be played in the goods area ~ALL VENDORS MUST STAY IN THER ORIGINAL SPACE ~ This event is targeted as a “Zero Waste” Event and in doing so we ask that all packaging, bags, containers be recyclable (no Styrofoam). Per the city of Takoma Park’s new Vendor Code Chapter 8.12 prohibits the use of Styrofoam and similar food service ware. Styrofoam and polystyrene plastics (#6) are not recyclable. *Failure to comply will result in immediate shutdown and dismissal from festival.
