Manual (50M) or Automatic (50A) Transmission
The standard powertrain is an
electronically fuel injected 5.0L V8 with
mass airflow sensor, 65mm throttle
body, tuned length aluminum intake
plenum, 19 lb-hr injectors, and roller
lifter cam. This is the most modern
iteration of the Ford small block V8 that
was in mass production from the 1960s
through the 1990s. In much the same
way the Harley-Davidson V-Twin has a
characteristic sound and feel, the Ford
small block has its own unique character.
The Revology Mustang engine therefore
retains the character of the original, but
also delivers more power, better fuel
efficiency, and better driveability than
the original, due to the adoption of
modern electronics.
The 5-speed manual transmission features a modern
hydraulic clutch for reduced pedal effort. The optional
automatic transmission is electronically controlled and
features an overdrive gear for relaxed highway cruising.

There were many differences between the 1965 and 1966 Mustangs. At Revology, we
differentiate the two years through the grille, quarter panel inserts, and gas cap.

1965 and 1966 colors are the most popular, but Revology Mustangs can be
painted any color. Please contact us for a quote on a custom color.

Select Interior Colors
Upholstery
Interior
The choice of upholstery color drives the color of the
surrounding surfaces. The color of the door panels,
dash, column, and console will be matched to the seat
insert, exactly the same way the factory did it 50 years
ago.
Custom interior colors and fabrics are also available.
The Revology Mustang convertible
comes with the Deluxe, a.k.a. “Pony”
interior, as standard equipment.

The standard top on the Revology Mustang convertible is a high quality reproduction of the
original vinyl top. It is available in four standard colors.

Styled Steel
A reproduction of
the optional wheel
from 65-66, the
styled steel wheel
was commonly
found on the GTpackage equipped
Mustangs. While
the look is
authentic, the
downside to this
steel wheel is
weight. Available in
15” only. 5SS
Magnum 500
It has been called
the “all time
favorite OEM
muscle car wheel”.
Not found on
Mustangs until later
years, it was a
popular retrofit on
the 65-66. Although
originals were made
of steel, ours is cast
aluminum.

Similar in design to
the famous Torque
Thrust wheel
popular during the
60s and 70s, the
Vintage 40 looks
great on any classic
car. Available in 15”

GT Appearance Package
The GT Appearance Package adds is based on
the original factory GT package. It adds the
following:
• Fog lamps
• Side stripe with M U S T A N G letters and
GT badge
• Exhaust trumpets that exit through the
rear valance
• GT gas cap
This is an original Ford press photo showing the 1965 Mustang GT package at
launch. The package was available on A- and K-code (225hp and 271hp SAE
gross) Mustangs only and is considered a desirable option by collectors today.

Interior Trim
The Revology Mustang will feature Satin Zebrano Wood inserts.
They look similar to the original simulated woodgrain (photo), but
are made from real wood veneer.
Brushed Aluminum (AL1)
Vintage Interior Trim Package (VIT)
If this option is specified, the aluminum
trim will be installed instead of the
woodgrain.
An authentic reproduction of the original simulated woodgrain or the
black camera case finish (at right) can be ordered by selecting Vintage
Interior Trim Package.

Vintage A/C Appearance Package (VAC)

Original Type
The standard type system consists of four
separate vents mounted to the bottom of the
instrument panel.
The original type system is an actual vintage unit
that is remanufactured and updated with
modern components. It retains the look of the
original, with the performance of a modern A/C
system.
