Newsletter 20 – page 1 of 4 NEWSLETTER 20-2015 Launch Service Boat owners please be aware that on Cadet Nights (Thursdays) the launch will be very busy from 18:30 to 20:30 ferrying 40+ cadets to and from participating yachts. Any boat owner planning an evening sail may wish to consider using the launch service prior to 18:30 to avoid any delay. Friday 22 to Monday 25 May inclusive – Cruise in Company. All welcome for the first club cruise in company of the year! Any size boat and any level of experience very, very welcome. Meet on the slip at 10am on Friday 22nd May. We'll decide day by day where we go, depending on the weather. Keep a dual watch on channel 72 for cruise chat and info. The Royal Western Yacht Club are celebrating their 140th Anniversary with a pursuit race to Tighnabruiach starting at RGYC. This was once an annual event. RGYC Members are invited to participate. Entry fee for OD Classes is £15 and for H/cap Classes £25.The Prize Giving Drinks Party on the pier cannot be a "buy as you drink" affair as RWYC would not be able to get a license. So drink is £8 per head - it seems a bargain to me. The BBQ Sizzle is an additional option at £8.50 per head - catered by a local hotel The Wellpark.
