Bernadine
is a retired computer specialist and moved to Atrium over a year ago. You
can often see Bernadine quietly working on a word puzzle or reading in
the Lobby and always wearing pink! She has loved pink for years! She had
several pink Christmas trees at her home. Her apartment is pepto pink!
Her hobbies include crafts and word games. Moreover, she is also one of
the few female military veterans at Atrium. She was honored with the rest
of the veterans at our Veterans Day Lunch.

I am pleased to announce that one such team member, Maura
Moran, a caregiver in our Assisted Living neighborhood, has
received our company’s highest national honor: The Caring
of Heart Award. Our Management team nominated Maura
for this prestigious prize. Many of her coworkers talked
about how she inspires them to reach new levels of service,
commitment, and professionalism. Some of the residents who
know Maura say that she is someone who is a real friend;
someone they can talk to, and who treats them with dignity
and honor.

OH, THE JOY OF CREATING SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL, EASY, SIMPLE
AND INNOVATIVE!
That is what our resident volunteer, Evelyn Pollock brought to us — an idea so
simple that it was beautiful! Anne and Evelyn led our residents into a jewelry making
process that was made with everyday items and beautiful beads were added for flair
and color. Each resident designed their own from start to finish! Loetta and her
mother, Haruko, made theirs together. Thank you, Evelyn and Anne! Join us to make
your own beautiful creations on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Country Kitchen!

THE CHESAPEAKE CONCERT BAND OUTDOOR CONCERT, ATRIUM CRUISE
WEEK, THE SPIRIT OF BALTIMORE SWEET ADELINES — ALL IN JULY!
Join us for an evening with The Chesapeake Concert Band July 1, at 7 p.m. outside.
We also have the Spirit of Baltimore’s Sweet Adelines on July 3 in the Main
Lobby. Check the calendar for times.
Come on a daily cruise with us during the week of July 20. Each day we will have
a travel destination theme. From The Bahamas to Italy, our activities and dining
experiences will reflect our destination that day. Bahamas, Mexico, China, France
and Italy — we will experience them all throughout this week! If you have any
travel souvenirs or artifacts to share for the day, please let Joelle know!
