“Celebrate Freedom” will be presented by the Angel Chorus and Live
Wires on Sunday, May 31 at 7 PM. This presentation reminds us of
the blessings of freedom in America, but more importantly, the
blessing of the ultimate freedom we have because of what Christ has
done for us through the salvation. Jesus said, “Go and teach all
nations.” In July, Mr. & Mrs. Billy Nixon, along with the rest of their
team, will again go to the Ukraine to spread the Gospel. In support of
this mission, the Children’s Choirs will take a love offering following
their program to give to the team. Please support our Children’s
Mission Project through your monetary gifts on May 31. Pray for the
Children’s Program as they present God’s message in song and pray
for the Ukraine Mission Team as they go abroad to spread the gospel.

Help Needed for Habitat for Humanity,
Food Pantry, & Emergency Aid
Chowan/Perquimans Habitat for Humanity needs an
office, Emergency Aid’s Clothes Closet is running out of
space, and the Edenton Food Pantry needs room for continued
assistance with the Chowan County Schools Book Bag Buddies
Program. All 3 of these agencies have come together to raise funds for
a building expansion. The total project cost will be approx. $95,000.
A construction fund has been established (administered by the Food
Pantry). In order to begin construction, they need to raise $30,000.
As you know, these 3 agencies provide a great deal of help to
the underprivileged - those to whom Jesus ministered and to whom
we’re called to minister in His name. Your donation is tax deductible.
Please be generous. Let’s break ground this summer!
Make checks payable to the Edenton Food Pantry, marked for
Building Project in the memo line, P.O. Box 643, Edenton, NC 27932.
The Facility Use Guidelines & Policies are now under the leadership
of the Property & Grounds Committee. Any questions or concerns
regarding the use of any of the Church Facilities should be addressed
to Property & Grounds.
Maps of the new building, showing where the rooms are located on both
the 1st & 2nd Floors, are available in the vestibule. Please take one!

As you begin to “Spring Clean” and tidy up closets, set aside items that
you no longer want or need for the Chowan Christian Fellowship.
Each year in October, they go to West Virginia to give clothing,
especially warm clothes, to the children and adults there who are
lacking these essentials. Other items needed are baby clothes, diapers,
wipes, etc. If you have questions or would like to donate any of these
things, contact Belva White at 333-8962 or Donna Sandel (Lois Peele’s
daughter) at 312-9749. Please pray for this ministry as they are now
preparing for their trip.
