Received by our President, Rtn.VC & his team, he was well accommodated and elated to get acquainted with members present. He shared various of his Rotary experiences with the members & urged them to get involved seriously in Clubs activities at various levels. Blood Donation Camp at IALA building. Our DG got elated to witness the same and spoke to the media how Rotary International is actively involved in various Social service activities in RI Dist 3020. More than 51 Units of Blood were collected & handed over to Rotary Blood Bank. TREE PLANTATION AT CLUB: Our DG had actively participated in Tree Plantation at our Club’s premises and . WHEEL CHAIR DISTRIBUTION: Awards Nite for 201112. He urged everyone to do his real best in achieving Clubs goals whenever possible. NOTE BOOK DISTRIBUTION Our DG lauded our club’s gesture to donate wheel chairs to Physically Handicapped at our clubs premises. ASSEMBLY AT CLUB: Our DG had addressed the gathering on various issues on Rotary. He spoke about Rotary Foundation, Member- ship Development, Last Push to Pulse Polio, He further congratulated our Club for hosting Our DG was enthralled to witness notebook distribution at Akkireddypalem schools and lauded our club for supporting poor students. FRUIT DISTRIBUTION: Our DG was enthusias- tic in being a part of Fruit Distribution at all at Akkireddypalem, Chettivanipalem, Drivers Colony, Appanna Colony. Fruits were sponsored by our Rtn.M.Jagadeeswara Rao. OTHER SNIPPETS WITH DG: VOLUME:1, ISSUE:3 PAGE 3 Rotary Homoeo Clinics Rotary Free Homoeo Clinics are being successfully operated at Rotary Homoeo Clinic, Autonagar & Gajuwaka since 1991. Currently, the clinic is being held at Gajuwaka. ”Rotary is so simple that many people do not understand it, and some even misunderstand it. Rotary is not a philosophy…not an all-embracing world point of view which answers every question…and satisfies all the dictates of the heart and mind. Rotary is merely an association of business and professional men united in the ideal of service.” — Address to 1938 Rotary Convention, San Francisco, California, USA Thanks to Rtn.Sanjay Agarwal for sponsoring medicines quite for a long time. More than 50 patients are being treated on a biweekly basis. Fruit Distribution Programme Fruit Distribution programme was clubbed with DG’s Official visit. Our DG was moved to see the real happiness with gratitude in students eyes when they received fruits. Rtn. Jagadeeswara Rao sponsored the event. The following are the locations: 1) Chettivanipalem, 2) Appanna Colony, 3) Akkireddypalem, 4) Driver’s Colony. Sponsors for forthcoming Fruit Distribution are Solicited. Blood Bank Project Donations for our prestigious Blood Bank Project are solicited from all sections of the society. Anticipations alone doesn’t realize our dream plans into reality. Hence, meticulous planning & rigorous hard work would see our Club on the geographical map of Blood Banks in Visakhapatnam. As of now, necessary government permissions are underway, meanwhile, let’s strive hard together to reach our goal — FULL FLEDGED BLOOD BANK in Autonagar. Harris called together a meeting of three business acquaintances in downtown Chicago, at Harris' friend Sylvester Schiele's office in the Unity Building on Dearborn Street on February 23, 1905. In addition to Harris and Schiele (a coal merchant), Gustave E. Loehr (mines engineer), and Hiram E. Shorey (tailor) were the other two who attended this first meeting. The members chose the name Rotary because initially they rotated subsequent weekly club meetings to each other's offices, although within a year, the Chicago club became so large it became necessary to adopt the nowcommon practice of a regular meeting place. They have not eaten for days,” I took some food and I went. When I finally came to the family, I saw the faces of those little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the rice to the mother. She divided it in two, and went out, carrying half the rice with her.
