The American Advertising Awards Competition gives our local market the
opportunity to represent the best creative intelligence the Inland Empire
has to offer. Typically, “Creatives” in the advertising industry are made up
of painters, photographers, poets, musicians, writers and other artists. But,
our unique local market pushes our creative industry to wear multiple hats,
resulting in “Creatives” who are, often times, also project managers, media
planners, new business development and account executives.
Advertising is unique in that it is an intersection of creative and
administrative talent that comes together to execute a strategic vision
for our clients. Also, our industry encourages us, if not forces us, to stay
updated on current events, trends and technology in order to be relevant.
The end result of our work can influence laws and socially mobilize the
masses. What an amazing industry to which we belong!
And with the American Advertising Awards and the ADDY Gala, we are
able to collectively represent, to the rest of the country, our local creative
and business might. I am proud to be a member of this industry and the
President of an organization that honors and celebrates our local artists,
taste makers, trendsetters and innovators.

The American Advertising Federation – Inland
Empire, a non-profit chapter of the American
Advertising Federation, is comprised of
professionals in San Bernardino and parts
of Riverside and Los Angeles counties from
all industry segments: advertising and media
agency owners, marketing directors, sales and
media managers, suppliers, radio stations,
graphic designers, photographers, webmasters,
copywriters, academics, and more.

Each year the AAF-Inland Empire hosts an
advertising competition covering over 200
categories of advertising called the American
Advertising Awards Competition. The AAF-Inland
Empire is part of a three-tier, national advertising
competition. Winners from the Inland Empire
are forwarded to the second-tier or district level
where they compete against other winners
across Southern California and the Las Vegas
region. District winners are then forwarded to
the final tier, the national American Advertising
Awards competition.
