Salem Food Co-op New & Improved Ordering
We JUST launched a NEW, improved, ordering system on our website!!
We’re very excited! We’ve worked hard to make it intuitive and easy to use.
Returning customers:
To order on this site, located at the Place An Order tab, simply sign-in with
your current user i.d.
Password:
Your password is your user i.d. WITH THE WORD ‘SALEM’ ADDED TO
THE FRONT OF YOUR USER I.D.
For example:
User i.d.: JohnDoe
password: salemJohnDoe
Once you’re in, you’ll see a brief page to alert you to a quick couple
items about checking out and your invoice and pick-up. Read this and
go on to order.
Tutorial:
The following should help new and returning Salem Food Co-op (SFC)
customers understand how to order healthy, locally sourced (as much as
possible), organic (mostly – we note if it is otherwise) food via our ecommerce co-op store.
Introduction
If, after reading the Tutorial below and checking out our ordering system,
you have ANY questions, call me (Kerry Fox) at 503-569-6988. No, really
– call me. If I don’t answer right away, please just leave a message and I’ll
get right back to you when I’m available.

Important Note
We are a small member-owned, volunteer-run co-operative that focuses on
organic, locally produced, delicious food. You can learn about membership
in our Get Involved tab on our Home page. You can volunteer, too, and get
deep discounts.
At this time, 2015, we open and close orders in our on-line e-commerce
‘store’ every month. We therefore suggest that you think of us as the place
to get pantry items (nuts, rice, sugar, dried fruit, chocolate!, flour). We also
supply fresh, sustainably caught seafood and local produce, bread, and
cheese.
As we grow, we’ll decrease the time of our ordering cycle – from one month
to every two-weeks, for example. Join us! Help us grow!
Add us to your monthly shopping routine!
Placing an Order
Go to the ‘Place An Order’ tab on our Home page.
Create an account, sign-in, Note the messages that you’ll be shown – This
tells you that whatever you keep in your basket before you leave the site you
agree to buy those items.
You’ll also see information about checking out, your invoice, and where and
when to pick-up your items
Shop to your heart’s content!
Please let us know if you don’t see something that you’d like, or if you have
any feedback regarding the site and your experience on it.
This is all new for us and we look forward to making it an easy, pleasant
experience.
Changing your Order:
You can change an order if you need to. Just use +/_ buttons in the
shopping cart of the item you want to change.
Invoices
Once we close, you’ll receive an invoice a few days later. We close on
Friday, you should expect an invoice by Sunday. Important: If you’ve
placed an order and don’t get an invoice, check your spam filter and change
your settings to allow our mail in your in-box. Payment is due the following
Tuesday (check / cash and PayPal). Communicate with us ASAP if there is
a problem!

third Saturday of each month from 8:00-2:00 pm at the Salem Public Market
