Absentee ballots will be hitting mailboxes today for the City of Sarasota
Commission District 2 and 3 second election. The Realtor® Association of
Sarasota and Manatee recommends Liz Alpert for City of Sarasota
Commission District 2 and Shelli Freeland Eddie for City of Sarasota
Commission District 3 on Tuesday, May 12.
Both candidates
exemplified the core
beliefs needed to
make the City of
Sarasota a great place
to live, work, visit and
have fun. All
candidates vying for
these positions were
researched and
afforded the
opportunity to
complete a candidate

questionnaire and
interview by the Association's Political Action Advisory Committee prior to
recommendation approval by RASM Board of Directors.
Approval also included a request for a $200 campaign contribution from the
Realtor® Political Action Committee Trustees and to seek the utilization of
Realtor® Party services from Florida Realtors® and the National Association of
Realtors®.
Shelli Freeland Eddie was recommended and endorsed in the general election
and that support was voted on to continue. Second round of candidate
interviews were only held for District 2 in the second election.
The Realtor® voice can only be heard when our membership becomes
engaged. Please remember to vote on Tuesday, May 12 and encourage your
friends, family and colleagues to do the same!
