Pregnancy Training to be held at Ridge Farm Studio from March 15th to March 20th, 2015.
Advanced Pregnancy “Supporting Pregnancy from Pre-Conception through Post Partum”
This Advanced class has been developed for Arvigo Practitioners who have completed Professional Care
Training to focus and further their knowledge and clinical experiences in the care of women from Pre
Conception through Post Partum. Trimester specific applications of The Arvigo Techniques of Maya
Abdominal Therapy® will be addressed as well the opportunity to apply these techniques on clients.
Herbal and traditional remedies, supportive modalities will also be addressed in this intensive class.
Certified Arvigo practitioner(s) with birthing experience will co-facilitate this class with Dr. Rosita
Arvigo, DN.
General Information for Arvigo Trainings
Please read all the information in this mailing before contacting the office with questions. It contains all
you need to know about attending this class. The following policies apply to Arvigo Institute classes:

If you need to contact us about the class, direct questions to the Institute office either by email at
[email protected] or by phone at 603.588.2571 from 9am-3pm Eastern Standard Time
Monday through Friday. While classes are in session, response from the office is limited. Don’t
wait until a day or two before class starts to ask important questions!
All balances must be paid on or before 30 days prior to the starting date of the class.
A deposit of $300 is required to secure your space in the class.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the first day of class, no refund is available.
If a cancellation is made prior to 30 days before the class begins, refunds are limited to funds paid
on your account in excess of the deposit.
The Arvigo Institute, LLC reserves the right to cancel any class up to 14 days prior to the first day
of the class.
Due to the intense nature of our advanced trainings, we have made a programmatic
decision to require all students to be residential.
Where is the class being held?
Ridge Farm Studio in Capel, Surry, United Kingdom.
The accommodation is single or double occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms, all meals and
use of facilities included in cost. On acceptance to the training contact Melinda Houle at
[email protected] to discuss lodging options, rooms are assigned on a first come first
serve basis.

Ridge Farm is a historic building in an idyllic rural location. Originally a mediaeval farmhouse, it
has grown over the centuries without losing any of its character. Located on the Surrey/Sussex
border, it is within easy reach of Gatwick and Heathrow airports, the M25, and the local town
Dorking.
The house is set in 12 acres of gardens, meadows and woodland. In the grounds there is an
indoor swimming pool (the pool will be closed during this class), sauna and Jacuzzi, and there is
a floodlit tennis court. All meals and snacks throughout the day are included in the
accommodation costs. Ridge Farm uses seasonal produce from the garden to prepare everything
in the farm kitchen. Food will be mainly vegetarian and there will be plenty of it, no one has ever
left Ridge Farm lighter!
How will I get to the Center?

By car: Half an hour from the M25.
By air: Gatwick airport closest, 20 minutes.
By train: Dorking station followed by a 15 minute taxi.
Hilary Lewin, our local UK organizer, will provide all information on travel and possible car
shares closer to the start date of the training.
What is the training schedule?
Arrival Date: Sunday, March 15th, 2015
Check in to Ridge Farm between 4:30pm and 6:15pm.
Sunday evening will include dinner, orientation and introductions.
The course will commence at 9:30am on Monday, March 16th, 2015.
Class begins each day at 9:00 am with a 90 minute mid-day break for lunch.
Class ends each day at 5:30. Times may be adjusted depending on the group.
Departure Day: Friday, March 20th, 2015
There will be class in the morning followed by lunch and departure from Ridge Farm by 1pm.
Commuters: Due to the nature of our advanced workshops we require that all students are
residential. Please contact the office with any questions.
What Should I Bring?
For the workshop, loose fitting clothing (without zippers!) that doesn’t restrict movement.
Slippers or similar footwear for indoor use.
Comfortable clothes that you can layer, i.e. warm socks, a jumper or light jacket, rain coat
and wellies, etc. This is an old house which although warm may be draughty in places so
warm night wear may be appreciated!
Bathing suit and pool towel.
For the practical massage classes, please bring your own set of sheets/towels, and face cover.
(for the pregnancy course, Please bring any pregnancy specific massage supports/pillows
you normally use).
Pens and notepad for class.
An optional yoga mat for meditation purposes.
Your massage table if you are driving. Please notify the office if you are able to bring your
own table.
What is Included at the Center?
There is ample parking.
WiFi is available throughout the main house.
Bath towels for bathing but bring a swimming towel.
All guests are provided lodging, 3 meals a day and 2 homemade snack breaks, beginning with
supper on the arrival day and ending with lunch on the departure day. Daily snacks and teas are
provided during breaks.
Special Diet: The Ridge Farm team are happy to address special dietary needs within their
capacity; this includes vegetarian, dairy free, wheat and gluten-free. If you have specific needs
outside of these please bring your own food and advise Hilary Lewin and the Institute Office.
We have full access to the kitchen for making tea, coffee or snacks at any time.

Recreation/Free Time can be spent walking in the nearby woods and fields, playing tennis (bring
your own racquet and tennis shoes), sauna and jacuzzi or just relaxing in the beautiful location in
front of a log fire.

responsible for the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
Rainforest Remedies and other herbal products are available and may be purchased at classes.
