“Top Individual Fundraiser Contest”
Official Rules and Regulations
Contest Starting and Closing Date: The Contest starts on Wednesday May 13, 2015 (the “Contest
Starting Date”) and closes on Monday, August 3, 2015 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
The Make- A-Wish® “Top Individual Fundraiser Contest” (the “Contest”) is conducted by
Make- A-Wish®, (the “Sponsor”).
How to Enter the Contest:
Register for 2015 Make-A-Wish® Rope for Hope Presented By Canadian Western Bank at
www.ropeforhope.ca. Participants must raise the required $1,500 minimum in order to qualify.
Registered Rope for Hope participants who raise $2,000 or more in Canada during the Contest
Period will be eligible to participate in the Contest and automatically entered in the prize draw.
Contest is open to Canadian residents 18 years of age and older.
The Prize:
There is one Prize available to be won consisting of: a return airfare for two from a Canadian airport
serviced and operated by WestJet, closest to the winners residence to regular scheduled and
WestJet serviced airport where the Contest Winner has selected their chosen Rope for Hope event
location in 2016; a two-night hotel stay for two in that city and one rappelling spot at the chosen
rappelling event.
Prize is valid towards return travel until August 3, 2016 and seats are subject to availability and
promotional space. Prize is not valid for any flights departing after such date and extensions to the
expiry date are not permitted. Prize cannot be booked or travel redeemed during peak dates such
as statutory holidays (long weekends) and airline blackout periods, such as but not limited to;
Easter, Christmas and Spring breaks are not available. Prize winner and his/her designated guest
must travel on the same itinerary in both directions. Winner and his/her guest are responsible for
transportation to and from the gateway airport and all other expenses not stated as included
herein. Changes to flights and or passenger names are not accepted, once the booking has been
confirmed. Prize is not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations’ packages, or WestJet’s charter
or code-share partners.
Transportation is subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations,
airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Winner and guest are responsible
for all expenses other than those mentioned above as included including, but not limited to airport
improvement fees, taxes, surcharges, other transportation, attractions, merchandise, souvenirs,
travel insurance, travel visas and all other personal expenses of any kind. The prize donor is not
responsible for any delay, postponement, suspension, rescheduling or cancellation, for any reason,
of any flight(s) and winner will not be compensated in the event of such delay, cancellation or
other event described herein. Other restrictions may apply.
Prize is non-transferable (and without limiting the foregoing, the prize may not be sold or traded),
must be taken as offered and cannot be substituted, redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit or
alternative prizes, except in the prize donor’s sole discretion. Prize donor reserves the right to
substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. No credit or reimbursement will be
provided if prize is not taken. Prize cannot be combined with any other promotional offers provided
by the prize donor.
The flight voucher includes all air travel fees, taxes and surcharges and is valid on WestJet marketed
and operated flights only, not valid for flights on or continued on WestJet’s code share partners. All
gifts of flight are subject to promotional space availability at the time of booking. Flights must be
round trips. Open jaw bookings are not permitted. Flights must depart from city A to city B and
return from city B to city A. The individual booking the flight must be over the age of majority in their
province. WestJet is not responsible for lost or mishandled vouchers. Once a voucher has been
delivered to the organization it is the responsibility of the organization to deliver and review rules
with the Winner.
Hotel accommodation details will be confirmed once the city of travel and event location are
identified.
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must be a resident of Canada and at least 18 years of age. The
following are not eligible to participate or enter this Contest:
i.
any entity involved in the execution, management or sponsorship of the Event;
ii.
any employees, volunteers, directors, representatives or agents (and those with whom such
persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of Make-A-Wish® Canada (the “Sponsor”);
iii.
any parent or licensing organization(s), licensees, affiliates of the Sponsor;
iv.
any prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and/or entities involved in the
development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the
Contest.
Collectively, the aforementioned individuals and entities may be referred to in these contest rules as
the "Contest Parties."
Determining the Contest Winner: One (1) entry will be selected via random drawing from all eligible
entries by Make-A-Wish Canada on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM EDT in Toronto, ON. In
order to win the Prize, the Winner will be required to sign a standard declaration, answer a skilltesting question and must be eligible according to the Official Rules and Regulations. The Winner
will be contacted by phone or email. If the Winner does not comply with the Contest Rules and
Regulations or cannot be contacted within 14 days of the date in which the Winner is determined,
the Winner will be declared void and another entry will be randomly drawn from among all
remaining eligible entries to determine an alternate potential winner for the prize. Winner will
receive the details of their Prize within 45 days. The odds of being selected as the Contest Winner
depend on the total number of eligible participants. For the name of the winner visit

Limits of Responsibility: By entering this Contest, the Winner acknowledges and agrees that Make-AWish®, its respective affiliates, agencies, and its respective officers, directors, employees, corporate
partners, prize suppliers and agents shall have no liability and the Contest Winner hereby agrees to
release them and hold them harmless from any liability arising from or relating to this Contest or the
awarding or use of the Prize. By entering this Contest, you consent to the Contest Sponsor and/or its
respective affiliates using the personal information submitted with your registration for the purpose
of administering this Contest and for the purposes of contacting you in the future regarding other
promotions and product and/or service offerings, subject to compliance with applicable privacy
legislation.
Other Rules: The decisions of the Sponsor will be final and binding on all participants. The Sponsor
shall not bear any liability for Contest entries which are lost, stolen, delayed, destroyed or illegible,
incomplete or otherwise improperly completed, or claims that are irregular, have been submitted
through illicit means or do not conform with or satisfy any or all conditions of these Official Rules.
Any such claims will be judged void. By entering, each entrant agrees to abide by the Official Rules
and Regulations and the decisions of the independent judging organization which shall be final
and binding in all matters related to this Contest. All entries become the property of the Sponsor,
which assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries during the
promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines,
computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any
email or entry to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic
congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or
damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or
downloading any material in the promotion. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared
invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or
tampered with in any way.
The Sponsor shall not bear any liability for the loss, theft or misuse of the Prize, or any personal
damage, personal injury or misfortune in any way attributable to this Contest or the Prize. By
entering, Winner grants the Sponsor the right to use their name and/or likeness, without further
compensation, in any advertising or publicity. Contest is subject to all federal, provincial and
municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning Prize are dependent upon the total
number of eligible entries received.
