Jose Barreau, MD - CEO - Co-Founder of Doc Halo
As co-founder and chief executive officer of Doc Halo, Dr. Barreau leads Doc Halo’s operations. Dr. Barreau’s
passion — to improve patient care through better communication is the foundation of the Doc Halo Mobile
Health Platform.
Dr. Barreau is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He completed his
fellowship in Hematology - Oncology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio and prior to his
retirement from active practice he sub-specialized in breast cancer treatment. In his role as the former
Director of the TriHealth Cancer Institute in Cincinnati, Dr. Barreau worked to expand the use of
multidisciplinary clinics, which would in-turn improve the quality of cancer care through better
communication.
With more than 15 years of administrative and clinical experience, Dr. Barreau knows first-hand the need for
physicians to communicate securely and quickly with other physicians and nurses. He is a visionary
entrepreneur and is adamant about holding firm on the principles that are the basic standards of the Doc Halo
mobile product - quality and reliability of the product itself; meticulous client service; and the ability to evolve
the product as the industry and technology grows.
Among his many Awards and Recognitions include the recognition as a ‘2013 Health Care Hero’ award
presented by the Cincinnati Business Courier and Top Oncologist 2014 by Cincinnati Magazine.

Amit K. Gupta, MD - President - Co-Founder of Doc Halo
Dr. Gupta is the president and one of the co-founders of Doc Halo, the healthcare industry’s innovative secure
physician communication text mobile application.
Dr. Gupta’s passion to understand and improve healthcare communication, especially among different doctors
involved in an individual patient's care, led to his interest in the development of the Doc Halo app. He
advocates “timely and effective communication is the key to improving patient outcomes."
Along with his partner and Doc Halo co-founder Dr. Jose Barreau, Dr. Gupta’s interest in secure, timely,
efficient physician-to-physician communication, led to the development of Doc Halo, which at its core is
designed to put physicians in charge of their communication and establish a new standard for the medical
profession.
Dr. Gupta completed his Master's in Clinical Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and earned
Fellowships in Outcomes Research and in Hematology - Oncology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati,
Ohio.
Jon Jansen - Chief Technology Officer
Jon Jansen is the chief technology officer at Doc Halo and is a partner in the cutting-edge mobile health
platform, Doc Halo. He was formerly CEO of the software company, Jcom, which specialized in business and
medical communication, as well as web-based portals for remote data access.
Jon brings an extensive knowledge base to the table, especially in the critical area of programming secure
interfaces between hospitals, EMRs and physicians' data. He brings an invaluable level of expertise and
experience to this complex topic and thus, is an important resource for not only the development of Doc Halo
product, but additionally for Doc Halo’s customers, physicians and participating Doc Halo healthcare networks.
For Doc Halo, Jon coordinates behind-the-scenes programming and database creation and optimization. His
more than twenty-two years of experience in the secure HIPAA-sanctioned healthcare communication arena
ensures a necessary level of complete product confidence for Doc Halo end users.
Jon studied at the University of Cincinnati in the field of Information Systems.
Brian Sullivan - Chief Creative Officer
Brian Sullivan is the Chief Creative Officer and partner at Doc Halo. Brian has been creating interactive user
experiences for 20-plus years in multiple industries, from small to large organizations, and previously owned a
media company. Among the top-tier high profile businesses and organizations that Brian has supported, some
companies include Sony, IBM, GE, and the United Nations.
Brian earned a B.A. in History and Creative Writing and a M.Ed. in Instructional Design for Media and
Technology from the University of Cincinnati.
When asked about his motivation to partner in the Doc Halo initiative, Brian explained that the intersection of
technology and the humanities has long been his passion. He sees Doc Halo as a momentous step toward
revolutionizing healthcare communication leading to better patient outcomes and a synergy among
physicians, nurses and healthcare providers. He is excited to add his expertise, intuition and vision to the
mission of the Doc Halo brand.
Mark Cittadino - Vice President of Sales
Mark Cittadino is the Vice President of Sales at Doc Halo and joined the firm in 2014. Mark has spent ten-plus
years in the healthcare industry - both in the academic and enterprise level, and has a passion for building high
performance teams and working closely with customers.
Prior to joining Doc Halo, Mark was Regional Vice President of Sales for iCare. From that vantage point, he has
a clear perspective on some of the most recent technological focus areas, such as Simulation, EHR, and a keen
insight into what he suspects will be one of the most exciting technological healthcare advancements, the
mobile health platform. Mark explained, “The potential impact that this direction is taking us is limitless. As an
industry, we’re responding to the way that people are communicating today. We’re providing means to
streamline both peer to peer and clinical communication. Doc Halo is providing the must-need-to-know
patient information in one place, the mobile health platform- and we’re enabling that dialogue within a secure
setting."
Mark received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration
in marketing.
Nick Lyle – Senior Sales Representative
Nick Lyle, Doc Halo’s Senior Sales Representative, has a wealth of knowledge of the technical and healthcare
world. He was most recently a sales team leader and broker sales consultant for DotLoop.
Nick is particularly passionate about introducing healthcare professionals to Doc Halo and its cutting-edge
HIPAA-compliant technologies designed to secure and streamline communication, increase collaboration and
provide comprehensive access to internal systems.
He summarized his excitement. “The healthcare market is very dynamic and Doc Halo is really making a
difference for organizations of all sizes. I find it so rewarding to help customers see the value of Doc Halo’s
important and intuitive platform.”
Nick graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor’s of Science, with a
concentration in human and organizational development.
