Responsibility:
Chagrin Valley Farms, Ridgewood Horse Shows, LLC., The Ridgewood
Horse Shows, the Horse Show Managers and their employees, hereinafter
referred to as Management, will not be responsible for any damage to person,
animal, or property at Chagrin Valley Farms nor will the Management be
responsible for any property lost or destroyed. Each exhibitor shall indemnify
and hold harmless from all claims and demands of any kind or nature arising
from such exhibitor, his employees, guests, children, animals or property
exhibiting on or in the show grounds or Chagrin Valley Farms. This shall be a
condition of entry.
Refunds:
No stall or nominating fees will be refunded. Entry fees will not be refunded
unless a certificate of illness or injury prepared by an accredited veterinarian is
presented to the secretary before the start of the show. Once the show has
started, horses which are not shown in classes they have entered forfeit the
entry fees, except if a horse becomes ill prior to the class entered. Scratches
must be made prior to the start of the class and must be accompanied by a
certificate from the show vet. Scratches and refunds will be charged a
$25.00 processing fee.

Stabling:
10x10 vinyl stalls with doors will be available at $135.00/show when pre-paid.
Stalls will be $150 if stall fees are not received in advance of the show. Day
stalls if available will be $50.00/day and overnight stalls if available will be
$75/night. Weekend stall reservations will take priority over day stalls.
Bedding is available for purchase. Stabling is limited and must be reserved in
advance. Stalls will be alloted on a first paid first serve basis. Stalls will be
available at noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Stall reservations will not be
accepted unless full payment is sent with the entry form. Stall fees are not
refundable. Reservations and fees must be received no later than May 13,
2015. Please call Marie Shook at 440-259-4409 or 440-218-0154 for stall
reservation or changes.
All Trainers must set up barn accounts for shavings, hay, tack
stalls, etc. prior to any deliveries.
Management:
Management reserves the right to combine, divide or cancel any classes, as
entries warrant. Management reserves the right to draw and post jumping
orders. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry.

Credentials:
No numbers will be released until proper credentials and all signatures are in
order.
Class Descriptions:
All hunter classes will be judged on performance and soundness. Courses
will simulate fences found in the hunting field, such as, but not limited to:
brush, well, in-and-out, oxer, post and rails, gate, panels. All Equitation
classes will be judged on seat, hands, guidance, and control of the mount.
A Champion and Reserve Champion title will be awarded to two of the top
four horses acquiring the most points over fences in each hunter section. In
addition to these points, only these horses will receive full points for one
under saddle class.
Jumpers:
Courses may consist of any combination of the following: Brush, wall, oxer,
post and rails, liverpool, panels and coop. Ties for other than first place will
be broken by the first round time. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons
will be awarded to the two horses accumulating the most points in the Modified, Low Amateur Owner & Junior, Childrens/Adult and Low Children’s/
Adult sections.
Jump Order:
A rotating jump order may be established for all classes over fences.
Management reserves the right to draw and post an order of go. Riders or
trainers with conflicts must see the starter so that necessary adjustments can
be made.
Prizes:
Eight ribbons will be presented in all classes. Additional prizes will be
awarded as noted. Prize money in excess of balances due will be mailed
within 30 days of the completion of the show.
Schooling:
Weather permitting, the rings will be open on Wednesday, May 20th and
Wednesday, May 27th for schooling. Rings will also be open until
approximately 30 minutes before start time on show days. The number of
horses in the ring at one time may be limited for safety, and warm-up time
may be limited as necessary.
Show Facilities:
Ring I is 150’x250’. Ring I warm up ring is 100’x 250’. Ring II is 135’x
240’. Ring II warm-up ring is 100’x250’. Jumper Ring is 225’x300’. Jumper
warm up ring is 135’ x 225’. All rings have a limestone/sand mix surface.

Entry Fees:
Entries will close on May 13, 2015. Post entries will be accepted up to one
hour before the class at regular cost plus an office charge of $5.00 per class or
$10.00/section. Horses shown in classes for which they have not entered will
be required to pay a DOUBLE entry fee for those classes.
Please note:
-Dogs must be kept on a leash.
-No smoking permitted.
-All riders must wear protective headgear whenever mounted.
-All riders must be neatly and appropriately attired when entering the ring.
-A processing fee of $50.00 plus collection fees will be charged for any nonnegotiable checks.
-Non-showing horses will be charged a non-showing fee of $125.00, and
owner or trainer must be completed on entry blank.
-All entries will be charged a $25.00 administration/grounds/schooling fee.
Check out will begin no earlier than one hour following the
close of each division.
The Veterinarian will be on premises for measurements at
7:30 am on Saturday of each show.
Motorized Vehicles:
Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to
operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be
permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not
limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on
the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a
valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized
vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid
driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who
signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating
a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible
for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation.Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the
parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the
child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the
child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition
grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed
against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6.
Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with
disabilities are exempt from this rule.

UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION
“Every Class offered herein, which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current Federation rule book will be conducted and judged
in accordance therewith.”
Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in
all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary
Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level,
Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach
or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3)
games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes
(academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7)
NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of
other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good
standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.
FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT
By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as
the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler,
Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives,
employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The
United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the “Federation”) and the local rules
of the Ridgewood I & II Horse Shows(the ”Competition”). I agree to be bound
by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept
as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under
the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the Competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the
Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules,
and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the
Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable-casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken
during the course of the Competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of
the Competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to
advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize
amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights
in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of
privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and
any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State.

CHILDREN’S HUNTER PONY
Open to Junior Exhibitors. Classes may be run as one or split Small/Medium and
Large to run at 2’, 2”6” respectively. Riders competing in the Children’s Hunter
Pony section are not limited to the number of mounts they may show, providing
they are not also competing in the Green or Regular Hunter Pony sections and/or
Children’s Hunter Horse section at the same competition (exception: competitions
which limit entries in accordance with GR 915). If a rider competing in the Children’s Hunter Pony section chooses to compete in sections other than Children’s
Hunter Pony at the same competition, these riders are limited to competing a maximum of one different pony in the Green or Regular Pony Hunter section and one
horse in the Children’s Hunter horse section at the same competition and in any
class not to exceed 3’5”- exception Pony Jumpers.

Opportunity Classes are for entry level riders of any age. Any rider that has shown
in a Zone pointed section, such as a children’s hunter division is not eligible. Any
rider that has shown in a regular division (such as regular ponies) is not eligible. If
otherwise eligible, riders may cross enter into other classes at this show.

In accordance with GR 1111.4: Canada, IA, WI, MO, TN, VA, WV, PA, NJ are contiguous states.
ADULT AMATEUR HUNTER: Eligibility: To be ridden by exhibitors who have reached their 18th birthday by December 1 of the
current competition year and who hold a current USEF Amateur certification. Open to horses and ponies. Cross Entry: Riders
entered in Adult Amateur Hunter sections may not compete in any other class in which obstacles exceed 3’5” at the same competition,
(Exception: Equitation, Jumper classes 1.20m and lower, Amateur Owner Hunter, Amateur Owner Jumper classes, and the USHJA
International Hunter Derby). Riders competing in the Amateur Owner Hunter or Amateur Owner Jumper sections may compete on one
different horse in the Adult Amateur Hunter section. Horses cannot cross enter into 3’3” or 3’6”Amateur Owner sections at the same
competition. Height of Fences: 3’0”; spreads not to exceed height of fence.
CHILDREN'S HUNTER HORSE: Eligibility: To be ridden by exhibitors who have not reached their 18th birthday by December 1 of the
current competition year. Cross Entry: Riders entered in Children’s Hunter Horse sections may not compete in any other class in which
obstacles exceed 3’5” at the same competition (Exception: Equitation classes up to 3’9”, Jumper classes 1.20m and lower Junior Hunter
sections, and USHJA International Hunter Derby). A Children’s Hunter Horse rider may only compete one different horse in the Junior
Hunter Sections. A Junior Hunter rider may only compete one different horse in the Children’s Hunter Horse section. Horses entered
in Children’s Hunter classes may not cross enter into Junior Hunter sections at the same competition. Riders entered in the Children’s
Hunter Horse section may only compete on one Children’s Hunter Pony at the same competition. Judging: To be judged on performance and soundness, suitability to count. Height of Fences: 3’0”; spreads not to exceed height of fence. Combining/Dividing Sections:
When sections are offered by age they must be offered as Children’s Hunter Horse 14 Years & under and Children’s Hunter Horse 1517. Sections can be combined if entries warrant.

current competition year. Cross Entry: Riders competing in the Children’s Hunter Pony section are not limited to the number of
ponies they may show, providing they are not also competing in the Green or Regular Hunter Pony sections and/or Children’s Hunter Horse
section at the same competition (Exception: competitions which limit entries in accordance with GR 915). If a rider competing in the
Children’s Hunter Pony section chooses to compete in sections other than Children’s Hunter Pony at the same competition, these riders
are limited to competing a maximum of one (1) different pony in the Green or Regular Pony Hunter section and one (1) horse in the
Children’s Hunter horse section at the same competition and in any class not to exceed 3’5” (Exception: Pony Jumpers). Judging: To be
judged on performance and soundness, suitability to count.
Height of Fences: Small/Medium: 2’0” and Large: 2’6”.
Suggested Distances: At management’s discretion, Children’s Hunter Pony may choose to run the section as follows using the
suggested distance guidelines:
2’ Small Children’s Hunter Pony should be (based on 9’9”stride): 4 strides at 48’9”; 5 strides at 58’6”; 6 strides at 68’3”;
7 strides at 78’8”; 8 strides at 87’9”.
2’3” Medium Children’s Hunter Pony should be (based on a 10’3” stride): 4 strides at 51’3”; 5 strides at 61’6”;
6 strides at 71’9”; 7 strides at 82’; 8 strides at 92’3”.
2’6” Large Children’s Hunter Pony should be (based on an 11’ stride): 4 strides at 55’; 5 strides at 66’; 6 strides at 77’;
7 strides at 88’; 8 strides at 99’.

JUMPER DIVISION
Nomination Fee: $125
To be eligible for the Jumper Division, horses must be nominated and the
nominating fee of $125 paid by the closing date of entries, May 13, 2015.
Horses nominated after that date must pay a nominating fee of $150. Nominated horses are eligible to compete in the Modified, Amateur Owner/Junior
and Children’s/Adult Jumper sections as well as the Adult & Children’s
Jumper Classics.
Horses must be declared for the class(es) of their choice PRIOR TO THE
CLOSE OF THE SHOW OFFICE the day before the class(es) are to be held.
Jumpers must be recorded with the Federation in order to receive points towards any USEF or USHJA Zone or Horse of the Year awards. USEF Rule JP
101. Any change of a recorded horse’s name and/or ownership must be recorded with the Federation in accordance with GR1105 & GR1107.
Horses tied for other than first place will be placed according to their first
round time unless otherwise indicated.
