How Technology is Helping Scientists Understand the Integrative Challenges of High Intensity Endurance Performance Requirements Craig E. Broeder, Ph.D., FACSM, FNAASO Founder and CEO Exercising Nutritionally, LLC Research Scholar Northern Illinois University Over the last 10 years, great strides have been made in how we monitor high level endurance performance due to advances in technology, especially wearable monitors. These advanced technologies have opened up new opportunities for how scientists study integrative physiological, biochemical, and molecular biology mechanisms at rest, sub-maximal, and maximal effort in both sedentary and highly trained athletes. The purpose of this talk will be to highlight how these technologies are helping scientists gain new perspectives in how the endurance athlete responds and perform to the unique challenges of high intensity exercise. This lecture is sponsored by the Notre Dame Cycling Club & the College of Science. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 6-7pm, 102 DeBartolo Hall FREE JIMMY JOHN’S!
