Object Cllrs objected on the grounds of insufficient information contained in the drawings and supporting documents supplied such that conclusions could be drawn and appropriate decisions made. Cllrs questioned the basis for the application’s initial verification on the basis of a lack of sufficient information. Application description: Retrospective change of use from Class B1 use (Light Industrial) to a Sui Generis Skip Hire and Waste Recycling Facility. Object Cllrs concluded this application formed a re-consultation from the County Council and that there was no material change to their previous objection. Cllrs re-stated their objection on the basis of their previous position. Comment Cllrs concluded they did not disagree in principle with the application but stated that it was too big in the context. The barn proposal would constitute a scar on the landscape when viewed from the other side of the valley which would be contrary to the landscape protection afforded by policies NE8,NE10 and GE1. Cllrs requested a site visit to assess the development in context. Comment The Council wished to strongly decry the demolition and loss of the existing heritage asset home on this site and requested that serious attention be given to access to the proposed development. It also noted the lack of an ecological survey and requested that this be carried out. A District Council site visit was also requested. Two Yew trees (T2) - fell by sections to near ground level. Applications for works to trees were noted by Cllrs but concerns were also raised that complete removal of trees was carried out for either no or full reasons given. The Assistant to the Clerk undertook to write to the Arboriculture Officer concerning the full listing of reasons for tree felling in each case. PLANNING NOTIFICATIONS/DECISIONS Cllrs noted that the Appeal for land at rear of 15A Tetbury Street, Minchinhampton had been allowed for the conversion of the existing bakery into residential units plus the erection of six new dwellings. Cllrs also acknowledged notification of the forthcoming Stroud District Local Plan Consultation on Post-submission Proposed Changes.
