Scotland County Schools ‘Glimpses of Greatness’ Staff at Laurel Hill Elementary School recently started a ‘Lending Library’ for parents, grandparents, guardians, and community members. Knowing that students often imitate the actions of their parents, they wanted to encourage family members to read more too. Scotland County Schools: Growing greatness every day! “We are so excited about this opportunity for our student’s families,” expressed principal, Kesha Hood. “Often times work schedules or maybe even transportation doesn’t allow people to visit the county’s public library in Laurinburg. By having a lending library at school, it makes it easier for our parents and their families to have access to reading materials.” The Lending Library is open from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm every school day. Donations of reading materials are also accepted and appreciated.
