Credit Risk/Project Support Officer (Permanent vacancy or a 12 month contract)
The main focus of this role is to lead and actively participate in the project for the Society’s
preparations for implementation of the Mortgage Credit Directive and Consumer Buy to Let
legislation. The post holder will identify and propose solutions for changes to the society
processes and procedures in line with the legislative changes and assume the role of key
expert during the period of change, the applicant will be the driver of this change through the
society and coordinating the new process including the delivery of related training. The post
holder will also be part of the society’s lending team structure and be able to efficiently and
effectively contribute to a variety of business objectives.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the
following areas:








Participation in regulatory change work affecting mortgage lending (i.e. Mortgage Market
Review) or assessing and affecting change in commercial/operational process for
mortgage lending
An understanding of the mortgage lending market and in particular residential and BTL
lending
A background in analyst/project related work
A strong knowledge of mortgage lending and reporting requirements
A decent appreciation of operational processes and procedures
A good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting the building society sector
A comprehension of risk such as Credit Risk, Prudential Risk, Operational Risk, and
Conduct Risk
Excellent IT skills
