KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Minnesota-based swimwear shop Nani Nalu Beachwear Boutique is coming to the
Country Club Plaza. Anticipating a December 2014 opening, the the 1,977-square-foot store will strive to
provide a fantastic shopping experience for all, no matter the time of year.
“We are thrilled to join the Country Club Plaza family,” owner Jennifer Cermak said. “We are opening our
doors just in time for cruise season and holiday adventures.”
Cermak founded Nani Nalu in 2006 after a swimsuit shopping experience at a department store left her in
tears in the fitting room. Cermak decided she wanted to offer women the opportunity to find the best-fitting
and most-flattering suits in a comfortable and supportive environment. Nani Nalu offers 25+ brands each
season that range from $100 to $350 per suit. This quality of suit can last several years with proper care,
according to Cermak.
“Our service is the most important part of our store experience. That, and the associates’ ability to be
politely honest during the fitting process,” Cermak said. “It is not just about ensuring the customer leaves
with a perfect fit, but that the entire experience from start to finish is positive. We help you find the most
flattering suit for you. This personal shopping experience builds confidence.”
In addition to the largest selection of designer swimwear in the Midwest, the 1,977 square foot shop offers
appointments and one-on-one service to all its customers.
“Nani Nalu is a great addition to the Country Club Plaza,” said Highwoods Properties Vice President,

Special orders are available for size, styles and colors not carried in the store, which means that a suit
that fits, in the color you love, is actually possible.
“We view our products as a curated selection of bikinis, tankinis and one-piece styles for every body
shape and lifestyle need,” Cermak said. “We are not a junior store, but we are not frumpy either. We fit
women ages 16 to 95 who desire a fit that functions and looks fashionable.”
Nani Nalu Beachwear Boutique is set to open on the Country Club Plaza in December 2014 at 421 W.
