TRANSMISSION — SCR oil free compressors have a synchronous
gearbox. This means reduced transmission losses and great reliability.
It also provides a more compact package that is simpler to maintain.
COOLING — Cooling bundles are made from stainless steel and
aluminium, this reduces operating temperatures, increasing efficiency
and longevity.
The tubes incorporate fins to increase their surface area, this improves
heat transfer, hence the compressors efficiency and reliability is
increased.
The condensate is quickly and efficiently removed, by level sensing
autodrains. This reduces the load on the down stream air treatment
and ensures high quality air is delivered.
MOTORS — All the SCR compressors are
fitted with high efficiency EU MEPS motors
incorporating SKF bearings.
PIPE WORK — SCR use seamless stainless steel pipes with high quality
compression fittings, rubber hoses are not used! This eliminates oil
leaks from ageing and vibration.
CONTROL & ELECTRICS — The patented and user friendly European
controller has 12 alarms and comprehensive safety trips/protection.
It’s easily configured for energy efficient operation. Siemens control
gear is used throughout to ensure long term reliability. Solenoids and
sensors from ODE & Huba are also used for improved accuracy.
Integrated variable speed drive options are available across the whole
range giving even greater return on investment.

LAYOUT — A dedicated intake air duct ensures low intake
temperatures for optimum efficiency.
The hydraulic intake valve overcomes the reliability issue of pneumatic
systems which can suffer wear, sticking and associated downtime.
A stainless steel venturi prevents pressure pulsation, reducing noise
and wear.
ENCLOSURE — SCR compressors are designed to be maintenance
friendly, all components are easily accessible via double skin hinged
doors. This also reduces noise levels.
Components are mounted on a substantial base that can be moved by
a fork lift truck.
The airend, gearbox and motor are mounted on WVIF anti vibration
mounts to ensure low vibration and noise levels.

AIRENDS — SCR oil free compressors use well proven GHH Rand oil
free air ends, with over 100,000 of these in operation.
Many competitors use high speed, spray coated air ends to reduce
manufacturing cost at the detriment of energy and reliability.
UltracoatTM reduces power consumption and extends the life of the
stainless steel rotors. The strong coating adhesion and high
temperature resistance ensures there is no reduction in performance
with age.
This also prevents rust and particulate contamination.
Unique labyrinth seals ensure the rotors truly are oil free, meeting
Class Zero requirements with TÜV approval.
These high quality 2 stage screws ensure high efficiency, durability and
low noise levels, efficiency improvements of 5-10% are delivered.
