Centenary of ANZAC 2015

Centenary of ANZAC 2015
POPPY PROJECT
This project was initiated by the
Centenary Suburbs Historical Society
with support from Cr Bourke, Jamboree Ward
Centenary Suburbs RSL sub-branch
Men’s Shed 100
Community members
to commemorate the Centenary of ANZAC,
particularly the five young men from our local
area.
A call to the community to assist with the making
of poppies to cover the large ‘C’ constructed by
Men’s Shed 100 met with an overwhelming
response.
You are now invited to select a poppy, write
a dedication on a tag for any man or woman who
has served in any of Australia’s conflicts,
then attach the tag and poppy to the ‘C’.
Your gold coin donation will be shared
between the
Centenary Suburbs RSL sub-branch and Legacy.
The completed ‘C’ will be on display
during the ANZAC Day service
on 25 April
at the Centenary Suburbs War Memorial
Gardens, Dandenong Road, Mt Ommaney
