‘THE BIG PAYBACK’ PAYS PLAYERS BACK—BIG TIME!
$600,000 giveaway funded by Unclaimed Prize Fund
Washington, DC – Starting March 29, The Big Payback will award players more than $600,000 in cash prizes with
one lucky player winning the $250,000 Grand Prize in this first of its kind promotion from the DC Lottery!
“Never before has the DC Lottery given away this much money in a single promotion,” says Executive Director
Buddy Roogow. “The Big Payback is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our loyal consumers for playing and staying
with the DC Lottery.”
To win, players must purchase the $10 DC Jackpot game. For every $10 purchase, players receive ONE entry into
the Second Chance contest. Each entry will contain a special webcode to be entered online at dclottery.com.
From those entries, the DC Lottery will award a $10,000 prize every weekday with winners announced at 2 pm
and 8 pm on CBS radio stations WPGC and WNEW through May 1.
The winning doesn’t stop there. The Big Payback’s BIG Event promises even greater cash prizes. Taking place
May 20 at DC Lottery Live/CBS Studio at 1015 Half Street, SE, the BIG Event will be a high-stakes invitation-only
affair with just 50 special guests asked to participate. Each will receive a $100 gift card just for attending. From
those 50 special guests, 10 will win $5,000; two will win $50,000; and one lucky player will win the $250,000
Grand Prize! There will also be the added bonus of the chance to win $3,000 in the always exciting Money
Machine.
The Big Payback is funded by the DC Lottery’s Unclaimed Prize Fund. The fund is a repository for all monies
unclaimed by DC Lottery winners.
“Players don’t claim their prizes for a variety of reasons. We want players to know that the money comes right
