Lottery Application Process
Lottery Application Period is January 12 – March 27, 2015
1. Once Lottery Applications are submitted, they are sorted by grade and home-school
district. Applicant’s birth date and residential address are confirmed.
2. Upon verification, each application is assigned a Lottery Number. On the night of the
Lottery Drawing, key tags with corresponding numbers are drawn.
3. The number of kindergarten slots per school district will be determined after the
application deadline, once all applications have been processed. Openings in Grades 1-5
will be determined by vacancies.
4. The CMS Lottery will be drawn on Thursday, April 23, 2015. You need not be present. If
your child is drawn in the lottery, you will receive an acceptance letter and be given two
weeks to respond.
5. If there are additional applicants after filling the open seats, we will continue drawing to
form a Waiting List. We will go the Waiting List to fill vacancies after the initial response
deadline.
