It’s all about food! Glorious food? Survival,indulgence, self-destruction?
The practice of depicting food and feasting stretches back to antiquity. Through the ages it has
continuously been used as skillful observation and/or to share symbolic meaning. All media will be
accepted but heavily scented or decaying material should be presented by video or film or in a clear,
airtight display cabinet.

Non-refundable Entry Fees:
• SCA members; $15 per entry, or 3 entries for $35 (membership is $40 annually). // Non-members; $20 per entry, 3 entries for $50.
Awards: $200 Best of Show. $50 Coordinators’ Award. Merit Awards.
Eligibility: (Please Read Carefully.)
• Open to all artists.
• All work must be original (no copies or giclees of paintings, prints, collage, drawings - call SCA if in doubt)
• All work must NOT have been previously shown in the Gallery at SCA.
• Maximum of 3 entries per artist.
• Work can be wall-hung, free-standing, or pedestal mounted.
• Maximum size: All work must fit through a 6’ x 6.5’ doorway (105’’ on diagonal).
Wall-hung work may not weigh over 50 lbs.
Free-standing work may not exceed 114’’ in height.
Selection: Work for this exhibit will be selected from online application and hand-delivered work
How to submit work:
All entries (online or hand-delivered) must be received by 6 p.m. on Monday, March 2. (Pacific Time) Prospectus is available online or at the SCA
gallery.

• Enter images of your work. Up to 3 images may be submitted for each entry to show perspective or detail. Enter one image, then add detail/image
before going to next. We advise that you submit high-quality images that will best represent your work.

• Bring completed entry forms on reverse side.
All work must have an SCA label attached to back with artist’s name, phone number, title and special instructions, if any.

ALWAYS LABEL YOUR WORK:
Liability, Sales, etc. regarding work submitted
• No substitutes will be accepted for work selected.
• No changes to title, price, etc. will be permitted after
delivery of art work.
• All reasonable care will be taken with the works,
but insurance is the responsibility of the artist. SCA
or its representatives will assume no liability for damage
or loss.
• Wet or unfinished work will not be accepted.
• All wall-hung work must be securely wired for hanging. No saw-tooth hangers.
• Selected artists agree to allow work to be photographed
for media use.
• Selected work must be on view for the duration of exhibit.
• Artists receive 60% of the sales price of work that is sold.
Indicate clearly on entry form if Not For Sale.
• Sales occurring as a result of the exhibit up to 30 days
after closing date are subject to 40% commission.
• SCA is not responsible for work left beyond 30 days after
close of show.

• Artists are responsible for all shipping and handling costs
to and from the exhibit.
• Each shipped entry must be packaged in a reusable
container for the return of work. No Styro peanuts!
• Prepaid return shipping form (UPS or FedEx) must be
provided, plus a $5 per box handling fee.
• Unsold shipped entries will be returned, in most cases,
within 10 days after close of exhibit.
