Hackett Park Food Vendor Information – Canada Day 2015 March 30, 2015 Plans for the Sechelt Canada Day Parade and Hackett Park Craft Fair are well underway and we hope you’ll want to be involved this year. The Canada Day celebrations will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. The theme of this year’s celebrations is “Sechelt – Many People, One Community”. Enclosed with this letter is an application form to register as a Food Vendor booth at Hackett Park. Please note the following timelines for the craft fair – this information applies to Food Vendors as well: Tuesday, June 30, 3:00 – 8:30 p.m. – Food Vendor setup. Access to the food vendor area will be off Dolphin Street via the gateway just left of the tennis courts. There will be security on duty overnight to keep an eye on things. Any product left on site is at your own risk. Wednesday, July 1 – Food Vendors MUST return to Hackett Park by 8:00 a.m. Free coffee and muffins courtesy of the SDBA will be provided 8:00-8:30 a.m. for vendors only – coupons handed out on June 30. No vehicles will be allowed into the craft fair area on July 1. Food vendors will have limited access into the food vendor area via the access road above the tennis courts off Dolphin Street. 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Access to and from Hackett Park will be restricted because of the Canada Day Parade. 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Craft Fair open. 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Entertainment at the main stage. 12:00 p.m. (approximately) – Official opening ceremony and dignitaries at the downtown stage located at The Dock on Cowrie Street. Please complete the enclosed form and return to the SDBA office by Friday, May 29, to be eligible for the Early Bird Discount. Please note that fees increase as we get closer to Canada Day. Note: When submitting a Food Vendor Application to the SDBA, food vendors MUST include a copy of their current Food Services Permit (valid for off-premises food service), or a copy of their completed Temporary Food Services Application as submitted to Vancouver Coastal Health (www.vch.ca/media/VCH-temporary-food-services-application-form-jan-2015.pdf). Please note: All Hackett Park craft and food booths will be featured in pre-event print advertising provided we have your paid application by Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Enclosed is a map of Hackett Park with booth locations indicated. Please indicate on your application your preferred locations – lettered booths are for food/beverage service. We will do our best to place you where you want to be, no guarantees. Please note that the ground slopes in some areas, and may be uneven, especially under the trees. A confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address supplied by you on your application form as soon as your application is processed by the SDBA, confirming your booth letter and other details. Food Service booths are the lettered booths. Booth locations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis - the organizers will do their best to place you where you want to be, no guarantees. Special Requests: Very Important: All food vendors must have a valid Food Services Permit from Vancouver Coastal Health. If you do not have a current Food Services Permit valid for off-premises food service, you must apply for Temporary Food Services Permit. The application form is available at www.vch.ca/media/VCH-temporary-food-services-application-form-jan-2015.pdf. A copy of your current Food Services Permit (valid for offpremises food service) or a copy of your completed Temporary Food Services Application as submitted to Vancouver Coastal Health MUST be submitted to the SDBA with this application form. If the application for a temporary food service permit is made by June 16, 2015, and is complete, the VCH $30 application fee is waived. Note: Very important – Setup at Hackett Park is on Tuesday, June 30, between 3:00 and 8:30 p.m. Security will be on duty overnight to watch the booths. Vendors MUST be back on site by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1. Food vendor vehicles will have limited access via the access road above the tennis courts off Dolphin Street. For vendors ONLY, there will be free coffee and muffins courtesy of the SDBA from 8:00-8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1 at Hackett Park – coupons handed out June 30. Note: The names of all vendors registered and paid by Tuesday, June 9, will be included in the newspaper advertising for the Hackett Park Craft Fair.
