I have been a proud member of the York family since 1973 as an undergraduate student, a post graduate
research assistant and as a staff member. Some of you may remember me as the host of Cosmic Horizons at
89.9 FM Radio Glendon where many important issues affecting both students and staff alike were discussed.
We have all worked to make this university the internationally respected institution that it is today. As your
new representative on the Board of Governors I will be a strong and passionate voice on the issues that affect
us all, including continuing to work with the Ontario Government on establishing a medical school here at
York U. and an aerospace campus at nearby Downsview Park just a few subway stops away.
Felim J. Greene
Executive Officer
Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
I would be honoured to serve on the Board of Governors as your non-academic employee representative. I
have over 12 years of experience at York. I have just moved to the position of Executive Officer in the School
of Continuing Studies after 5.5 years as the Executive Officer in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional
Studies. I have also held the roles of Director Budgeting and Planning in central Finance, and Finance Officer
in CSBO. I had an extensive and varied career in the private sector as well. I have an MBA from York and I
am a Certified Management Accountant. I know York well. I believe that my background and experience
would allow me to be an effective representative on the Board of Governors, representing the interests of all
non-academic employees. I hope to receive your vote of confidence.

York University isn’t just where we work our day or evening shift. It isn’t just where we spend a portion of our
days working hard. York University is our home. We care about its past, present, and future. We’re
passionate about our current and prospective students, our alumni, our colleague -- the colleagues we see
every day, those with whom we often cross paths on and off campus, and those we have not yet had the
opportunity to meet. Representing our staff team, I’m committed to being your voice on York University’s
Board of Governors -- to tactfully brainstorm ways to enhance the University now and for the years to come,
to make decisions that benefit our community. Not just bringing your voice to the table, but raising it. Thank
you for taking the time to learn a little bit about my passion for us and our home. Keep up the amazing work!
Ron Ogata
Manager Renovations
CSBO – Planning and Renovations
Dear Colleagues
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Ron Ogata and I have worked as Manager Renovations in CSBO
for 12 years. During my time at York I have been involved in many facets of the University and have worked
with Faculties, Divisions, Chairs, Deans, EO’s, FM’s and Students. I have detailed knowledge of budgeting
responsibilities through the numerous project budgets I’ve overseen. I believe that my experience and
knowledge of the University and along with my management skills has given me an excellent base from which
to represent you on the Board. I’ve also been involved in many activities outside of CSBO; I am a member of
both the YUSA (as an alternate member) and CUPE (1356) JHSC’s, SPACe (Space Prioritization Allocation
Committee) and VUC (Vivarium User Committee) along with being an Area HSO.
I will work enthusiastically to represent you to ensure York’s continuing success.

I have been a member of the York community for about 17 years, both in the capacity of a student as well as
a York University employee. Throughout the years I have been actively engaged in staff concerns and have
built longstanding relationships. I have witnessed tremendous growth throughout the University and have
gained a thorough understanding of the University's governance. The opportunity to serve on the Board of
Governors as a non-academic member, would allow active participation and vigorous advocating for staff on
discourse involving us and our future. I assure you I will act on principle, objectivity, and my strong
commitment to serving the ethical interests of staff. My contributions will help to positively shape our
experiences and future at York.
Thank you for your Support

Amanda Wassermuhl
Executive Assistant to the Dean
Osgoode Hall Law School
As a long-term member of the York community, I am eager to serve as your representative on the Board of
Governors.
I attended York University for both my undergraduate and law degrees. I spent several years in legal practice
prior to rejoining York, which gives me valuable insight on issues of governance, the obligations of the Board,
and the statutory context of the University. In my current position as Executive Assistant to the Dean at
Osgoode Hall Law School, I am deeply involved with the governance of the law school. I serve as Secretary
to Faculty Council, as well as other important committees. I frequently have contact with other groups
around the University and, through this experience, I have a good sense of the issues that are important to
staff.
I am dedicated to representing the interests of non-academic employees at the Board level during this time of
transformation at the University.
