Participating restaurants and food trucks will feature unique twists on the classic grilled cheese at their respective locations for 10 days through May 10. Red Wagon Creamery, for example, will feature a grilled cheese ice cream sundae. Each of the 15 participating locations will donate $1-‐$2 for each featured grilled cheese item sold during the 10-‐day event. Each dollar donated to FOOD For Lane County allows the organization to provide meals to three Lane County residents in need of food assistance. More than 80,000 Lane County residents currently identify as food insecure. The public can enter to win a $50 gift card to one participating restaurant by posting pictures of their grilled cheese experiences on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #GrilledCheeseFFLC.
