Introduction and Welcome
Welcome to Daily Deal Builder. First of all, I would like to thank you for investing in yourself. It takes
a special kind of person to see a valuable opportunity and take action on it. We are dedicated to your
success, and want to ensure that you are able to reach your goals. There will be action required on your
end as well. To run a successful business, you must plan and execute your ideas and ventures in a forward
thinking manner.
I have spoken with hundreds of successful Internet entrepreneurs, and there are many similarities that
exist among them:
They have well defined goals.
They know their strengths and weaknesses.
They know their opportunities and threats.
Successful people model their business on previous successes and learn from competitors.
Successful people know where to look for help to receive the correct answer.
I have also spoken with hundreds of entrepreneurs that are striving to earn a full time income on the
internet, yet are failing miserably. They are failing not because it is impossible to make a full time income
on the internet, but rather because they find problems with a set of different issues that seem to affect
nearly everyone.
Some of these issues include: lack of focus, jumping from one opportunity to the next, poor time
management, no final destination goal, not knowing the path to take to get to your goal, not being
technical, etc. The positive thing about these obstacles is they are just that – obstacles. When an obstacle
stands in the way of your ultimate goal, it is necessary to find a way to overcome that obstacle and get
around it.
This manual is aimed first to get you over your obstacles that have been stopping you from really
earning money online and second, to ensure you have the correct system needed to succeed online.

There are tens- if not hundreds- of ways to generate income on the internet: product launches, Adsense,
Pay-per-click, joint ventures, tele-seminars, forced continuity, social networking, and many more. I have
found that the biggest obstacle that nearly all entrepreneurs face is jumping from one opportunity to the
next and taking proactive action on the opportunities in which they take a part.
I am sad to say that many people I have done business with have purchased multiple thousand dollar
home study courses, only to have them sit on their shelves and become dusty. This is simply human
nature to do so, and it takes a special effort to get over this and actually use what you have. You
currently have an incredibly powerful system to your name, and it is of utmost importance to follow
through completely with all the steps asked of you.
Now, with that said, let us start by doing this quick exercise that will help you overcome your
biggest obstacles and start reaching your goals.
Exercise #1:
Step #1 Grab a pen and piece of paper, and write down the top three goals you would like to accomplish
within the next five years. Don‘t just write a monetary amount, think about the other aspects of your life dig deep. Why do you want that lifestyle? What will it do for you? More time with family? Take that
dream vacation? Upgrade that car you have been driving? What about your goals over the next two years?
How about in the next six months?
Write them down now…

It‘s necessary to know exactly what you want your end result to be or you will find yourself lost in the
cosmos. While I can‘t speak for everyone, most people don‘t go on a trip without a destination and a
planned route on how to arrive at that destination. In a nutshell, in order to achieve your goals, you must
know exactly what they are and when you would like to achieve them.
Step #2 If you continue on the current path you are on, will you achieve your goals? Simply circle yes or
no below.

A change must occur in order for us to overcome our current positions in life and advance to the level that
we want. Change is good. Change is healthy. Puddles remain stagnant, while rivers flow free.
Now, there is a good chance that you answered No, with the problem being that you have no idea as to
how you need to change your current path. What you need to do is simply break down your life by how
much money or time is invested in each activity that you do on a day-to-day basis. Target which aspect(s)
of your online endeavors are hindering you, and work to overcome these obstacles. You must also target
which aspects of your life are advancing you to where you want to be. Continually focus on and grow
these areas. Apply the breakdown of your daily activities to the 80/20 rule.
The 80/20 Rule means that in anything a few (20 percent) are vital; and many (80 percent) are
trivial, 20 percent of the defects cause 80 percent of the problems.
Step #3 Manage Your Time: Click Here To Open Your Calendar and Print It
Successful people take action when opportunity presents itself. Right now, we are providing you with the
opportunity to learn from our experience; so print out your calendar. This calendar is to be hung directly
next to your computer. Use the calendar to write down your goals and objectives on the dates by which
you want to have them completed.
If you allow it, poor time management and a lack of drive and focus will keep you from success. You
must be organized and focused on your goals to obtain your success. When you take your eyes off your
goals, you are instantly making a turn in the opposite direction of ever achieving them. The fact that you
have been poorly managing your time and/or focusing improperly is your own fault, and will forever
hinder your ability of achieving your goals. Start doing so now, and begin taking actions that will forever
change your life for the good. It‘s worth it. Trust me, I make a lot of money on the internet, and enjoy
doing what I love to do when I want to do it, and it‘s damn nice.

setting and task management will dramatically change your life and your business.

manage their time well, are driven and focused on their goals, and they have learned the power of
leveraging themselves and have other people making money for them.
Our Product, Our Background, Our Research
Before going any further, I would like to tell you about the software that you now have access to. In
short, your Daily Deal Builder powered website will enable you to have a one sale at a time or group
buying website. You can decide how often you will sell something new from inside your administrator
panel.
Many of these websites sell one item per hour, per day, and some sell one item per week. We decided to
create this application for you, because we have seen a huge up and coming trend with people spending
time on one sale a day websites, most notably Groupon.com, Woot.com and SteepandCheap.com.
One day deal is a discount-based selling method invented in order to promote impulsive sales. Its
uniqueness consists in the fact that these sales are only there for 24 hours, thus, the name "one day deal,"
or ―one sale at a time,‖ and sometimes referred to as ―OADs,‖ (one a days)‖.
Since this model was launched, more and more one day deal websites have appeared on the internet, and
their success is already a proven fact. People are always attracted by bargains, discounts, and sales, and
this is exactly what these websites offer to their virtual customers.
Some websites use only this method, ever since Woot.com (a famous deal of the day site) launched in
July 2004. Other sites use it along with the conventional online sale methods; either way, its success is
undeniable.
Usually, this type of websites closely resembles a blog, mostly because they are being updated daily.
Also, to increase the so-called "sale drama," the sites might have a chronometer shown along with every
product, to know exactly how many hours, minutes and seconds the customers still have to purchase the
advertised item at the discounted price.
Steepandcheap.com and Woot.com are merely the largest one sale at a time websites; however, these sites
are popping up in nearly every niche industry that you can imagine. From electronics, to outdoor gear,
and information products to sports equipment, any and every thing you can fathom can now be found at a

discounted price on these daily deal sites. The wonderful thing is that these types of sites are still in their
infancy, and this is why you can get it on this early, and capitalize on this trend.
More and more people are visiting similar websites to the one you now own, on a day-to-day basis, and
we wanted to give you the opportunity to run one of these sites for yourself. Before moving forward, I
would like present you with a couple of quick case studies from the two largest one sale at a time
websites.
Woot and SteepandCheap
Matt Rutledge, an electronics wholesaler, founded Woot.com, the premier one-a-day sales site in July
2004. Woot.com itself offers only one discounted product each day, but their sub-domains, such as
―shirt.woot.com‖ and ―sellout.woot.com‖ (a website in cooperation with Yahoo!) offer other products
each day. On some days they have ―Woot-offs,‖ where products are offered for different amounts of time
with a bar showing how much of a percentage of stock they have left. After the product sells out, a new
product is offered.
Woot makes their image more personable to their customers by being both self-depreciating and insulting
to the customers, as well as operating a community forum that allows users to post negative comments
about the products as well as competitive deals found elsewhere.
These features, combined with a podcast, desktop widgets, and a Twitter account (which is among the top
100 most followed on the website), has created a niche market tied together by a social community that
exposes themselves to voluntary advertising mediums in order to get repeat visits to their website. It‘s all
pretty ingenious.
While Woot.com‘s main site lists a variety of products, the website SteepandCheap.com, another popular
one-a-day sale website, has picked up the niche market in outdoor gear and goods. Unlike Woot.com,
SteepandCheap is a derivative internet business run by Backcountry.com. They operate several traditional
retail websites, and have a bevy of OADs located at several different domains (Brocity.com,
Tramdock.com) with different focuses.
SteepandCheap manages to run multiple deals a day because the deals they list are limited enough that
they sell out in hours. Also, unlike Woot, they show the amount in stock for their available items. They
also have a social focus, allowing their users to create profiles and post on their hosted forums, and have
stated that they want their websites to be the first place people go to, to find out information on outdoor
gear.

Both of these websites have seen massive profit margins. Backcountry.com made $200 Million in
Revenue in 2008, and Woot.com made $164 Million. It is obvious from the numbers that there is money
to be made with OAD‘s – any plenty of markets and niches to cover.
Researching & Choosing Your Niche
First off, when deciding upon your industry and niche to sell products in, you need to realize a few
important factors that are directly correlated with an individual‘s buying motives:

All of the above are motivational factors that influence people to make purchases. There are some
other techniques to implement to make sure that you are in a hot and profitable niche.
The future of these one-sale at a time sites is not a mere bar graph with a couple big players, but rather a
myriad of micro-niche one sale at a time sites. To see the most success with your new one sale at a time
website, you need to select a specific niche. A niche market is a focused targetable portion, or subset of a
market.

A great way to start your research is to begin searching Google for ―Sale-a-Day‖ or ―Deal-a-Day‖
websites. Now, just because you are interested in BMWs and there may be a one sale at a time website
with BMW gear, does not mean that you should throw out the idea. You see, the competing BMW
websites will be a great starting place to advertise your new website to people who you know are
interested. Another great thing to do is to ask around and figure out the different types of niches that exist
and groups that want to be together on the internet.
There are hundreds of different niches out there, and in each and every one of them are individuals who
are like minded and will enjoy a website that offers one related item at a time, specifically designed for
them. In each niche, you can actually break down the group into an even more specific group. Some
quick examples are as follows:
People who want to make money on the internet: PPC, SEO, Adsense, product launches, joint
ventures, private label rights, Ebay, Craigslist, etc.
An end example would be for you to create a one sale at a time site that offers various marketing
products, they can either be your products or products that you can offer as an affiliate.
Car enthusiasts: BMW, Corvette, Mercedes Benz, Ford, GM, Honda, Suzuki, Porsche, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer different car accessories at a discounted
rate.
Outdoor enthusiasts: People who like doing stuff outdoors, hikers, skiers, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer various outdoor gear at a discount, i.e.
rock climbing gear, hiking equipment, camping equipment, etc.
Geographic based: Town, city, state, region, country, mountains, beaches, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer souvenirs, memorabilia, and gift items
about your chosen geographic location, i.e. ―I saw rock city‖ tee shirts.

Position or Company based: CEO‟s, secretaries, sales reps, Delta, AT& T, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer office equipment, travel bags, gift cards,
and random offers that this target market would be interested in.
Age or race: High school kids, college kids, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer items that are directly related to your
chosen age or race. For example, high school kids like buying video games, phones, name brand clothes,
spring break paraphernalia, etc.
College: UGA, Auburn, FSU, Georgia Tech, Old‟ Miss, KSU, NYU, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer college merchandise, memorabilia, gift
items, tickets to events, paraphernalia, books, and dorm room accessories at a discounted rate.
Animals: dogs, cats, turtles, Golden Retrievers, Bulldogs, hamsters, etc.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer animal training guides, collars, food,
beds, and all of the other products that people buy for their animals.
Computer Lovers and Electronics: Anything and everything that people need regarding computer
and technical equipment.
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer external hard-drives, webcams,
microphones, mouse devices, thumb drives, monitors, computers, etc.
Gamers: People absolutely love playing video games!
An end example for your one sale at a time site would be to offer gaming systems, games, controllers, etc.
You see we can go on and on about specific micro-niches that exist in our society. The bottom line is that
these groups are appearing online at an ever-increasing rate. A couple of very important factors to
remember when deciding upon your niche are to: choose something that you enjoy, and choose a niche
that has a targeted group actively seeking for it on the internet. Finally, choose a niche that has people
who are buying items online.

Now, you can head over to http://www.google.com/trends and get some concrete numbers on your trends.
For example, type: ―BMW, Honda‖ and view the results. The results tell you the current trend for those
particular cars. They will show you both how well each compares with the other, and whether or not they
are on an upward or downward slope, based on the line graph. Preferably, you want to choose something
that is on an upward slope.
The next step to narrowing your niche list down is to go to http://www.clickbank.com which is an online
marketplace. You are going to select ―marketplace‖ at the top, and proceed to search for your niche. What
you are looking for are e-books or courses that have been created in your niche. Doing this is important
because it lets you know if you will have something to advertise on your website that will be of interest to
people.
A final step to do is to visit master-resale-rights.com and search for private label rights (PLR) products in
your niche. If you can find multiple PLR products in your niche, it is a good sign that there are related
products that you can sell your members. Later on in this book, I will show you how you can purchase the
rights to a product and sell that product on your social networking website for full commission, just as if
you wrote the book yourself.
From using these steps, you need to have your niche list narrowed down to two things. From here, you
should select the one that appeals to you personally. You need to be passionate about the niche that you
have chosen. Before completely settling on a niche to move forward on, it is a wise decision to run your
niche by an expert. For this instance, you can simply email us here at support with the subject line: ―My
chosen niche, and your opinion.‖ We feel it is important that you choose a profitable area to do business
in and we can most definitely help you do so.

Choosing Your Domain Name
on your Daily Deal Builder Download Page you will see an area to purchase a domain name. You will
need to get your domain name from here so that your hosting is set up automatically, and your domain is
pointed in the correct direction. Choosing your domain name is an important step to take, and we
recommend to first find your niche, and to choose your domain name afterwards. If you have yet to
narrow your niche down and choose it, please go back to the previous chapter and go through the steps to
decide on your niche.

Your Domain Name Should Be Your Website Name
Naming your site after your domain may seem obvious to some of you, but you will be surprised to learn
that not every website is named after the domain name, even when the webmaster owns that domain
name. Your Daily Deal Builder domain name will be your business name (without the .com or .org or
what ever you see fit). Naming a site after its domain name is important for the simple reason that when
people think of your website, they'll think of it by name. If your name is also your URL, they'll
automatically know where to go. For example, when people think of SchoolBridge, they don't have to
wonder what URL to type into their browser to get there. The name of the site is also the URL.
Imagine: if your business (or website) is called "HelpfulIdeas," but somebody else holds that domain
name. Instead, you have some obscure domain name called, say, "mygoodidea.com". What happens when
your customers, recalling that: ―HelpfulIdeas‖ has a product they want, type www.helpfulideas.com?
They'll wind up at your competitor's website, thus ensuring one lost visitor or sale.
In the modern world of the internet, where people automatically turn to the web for information, it pays to
have a domain name that reflects your site or business. There are just fewer things for your customers or
visitors to remember. Moreover, you don't seriously think that they'll try to memorize an unrelated URL

just because you want them to, do you? The only people who'll memorize it are you and your competitors,
who want to compare your site and price points.
What if you cannot get the domain name of your choice? It really depends on how committed you are to
that particular name. If you have an existing brand name that you're known for, you'll probably not want
to scrap that name just because you couldn't get the domain name. After all, it took you a lot of time and
money to establish that name. If so, you might simply want to try to buy the domain name from the
current owner. Visit Betterwhois.com, check the information for the domain, and contact the person
listed to see if they're willing to sell it. You probably should be aware that they are likely to want to
charge a higher fee than you'll normally see when buying new domains (assuming they want to sell it in
the first place).
On the other hand, if you're just starting out, you might prefer the cheaper alternative of trying to obtain a
domain name first, and then naming your website (or business) after the domain that you've acquired. So
if you've acquired, say, the domain name "HelpfulIdeas.com," then your website and business might be
named "Helpful Ideas" or "HelpfulIdeas.com". I know this seems a bit like putting the cart before the
horse, but that's the reality if you don't want to lose out on the internet.
Generic Names or Brand Name Domains?
I know that a number of people seem to think that your domain name really must be some generic name
like "books.com," if you are selling books. But seriously, if you were looking for a book, you would
probably already have some brands in mind, and you're more likely to try sites like amazon.com or
clickbank.com rather than just books.com.
For that reason, I personally feel that a domain name that matches your brand name is very important. The
name that you use to advertise your product is the name that you will want for your domain, because that
is the first thing that people will type in their browser. It is also the easiest thing for them to remember,
and whatever is easily remembered, will be more likely tried out than the obscure domain name.
Long or Short Domain Names?
Domain names can be of any length up to 67 characters. You don't have to settle for an obscure domain
name like babpint.com when what you mean is BeABetterPersonInNoTime.com. Having said that, there
has been some discussion over long versus short domain names.

Some argue that shorter domain names are easier to remember, easier to type and far less susceptible to
mistakes. For example, "SchoolBridge.com," is easier to remember and less prone to typos than
"schoolwideinformationsystem.com".
Others argue that a longer domain name is usually easier on the human memory—for example;
"tdtfeb.com" is a sequence of unrelated letters that is difficult to remember and type correctly, whereas if
we expand it to its long form, "thedogtrainingfreeebook.com,‖ we are more likely to remember the
domain name.
Some of these arguments are actually academic. It is increasingly difficult to get short, meaningful
domain names. Names such as "help.com," and "planes.com,‖ have long been sold. If you manage to get a
short domain name, it‘s imperative that it is a meaningful combination of characters and not like the
obscure "tdtfeb.com" in my contrived example above.
Long domain names that have your site keywords in them also have an advantage in that they fare better
in a number of search engines.
So which type of domain name would I go for?
I'd go for the shorter name if I can get a meaningful one, but I'm not against longer names. However, I
would probably avoid extremely long names, verging on 67 characters. Aside from the obvious problem
that people might not be able to remember such a long name, it would also be a chore typing it and trying
to fit it as a title on your web page.
Hyphenations?
Should you get a hyphenated name? There are a few things to consider here:
a. Disadvantage: It's easy to forget the hyphens when typing a name. Many users are used to typing
things like thefreeebook.com but not the-free-ebook.com. They'll probably leave out the hyphens and
wind up at your competitor's site.
b. Disadvantage: When people recommend your site to their friends verbally, having hyphens in your
domain name leads to potential errors. For example, how do you think your visitors will refer to your site
if it is named ―the-free-ebook.com "? They might say, "I visited The Free EBook dot com yesterday. It
was a great read." Their friends, remembering that comment later, might have typed into their browsers
"thefreeebook.com,‖ in which case you will have missed a potential user.

c. Disadvantage: It is annoying to type hyphens in the URL bar!
d. Advantage: Search engines can distinguish your keywords better and thus return your site more
prominently in search results for those keywords occurring in your domain name.
e. Advantage: The non-hyphenated form may no longer be available. At least this way, you still get the
domain name you want.
f. Advantage: When people recommend your site to their friends verbally, having hyphens in your
domain name can be very funny. For example, how do you think your visitors will refer to your site if it is
named ―the-free-ebook.com "? They might say, "I visited The Hyphen Free Hyphen EBook dot com
yesterday. It was a great read." Their friends, remembering that comment later, might laugh in the middle
of the night (which actually, may not be advantageous at all).
Personally, I prefer to avoid hyphenated names if I can, but it really depends on your domain name and
your situation.
Plurals, „The‟ and „My‟ Forms of the Domain Name
Very often, if you can't get the domain name you want, the domain name registrar will suggest alternate
forms of the name you typed. For example, if you wanted website.com, and it was taken (of course it is),
it might suggest forms like: thewebsite.com, mywebsite.com ,websites.com among others, if they were
not already taken as well. The question is... should you take them?
My personal opinion is that if you take the ‗the...‘ and ‗my...‘ forms of the domain name, you must
always remember to promote your site with the full form of the name. Otherwise, people are likely to
forget to affix the necessary ‗the‘ or ‗my‘.
On the other hand, I would not take the plural form of the domain name (i.e. websites.com) if I cannot
also get "website.com," since the chance of the visitor failing to type the ‗s‘ in the name is very great.
Think about the name tussle between etoys.com and etoy.com. Many people wanting to go to etoys.com
were apparently going to etoy.com instead. If it happened to them, it can happen to you, too.
Which Top Level Domain to Choose
One common question I encounter from people is that they can't get the ‗.com‘ domain of their choice, so
they find that they can use the ‗.net‘, ‗.org‘ or other country-specific top level domains (TLDs) available
(like .de, .nu, .sg, etc). Should they try for these?

The answer is not as straightforward as you might think. If your website or business caters to the local
community, such as a pizza delivery business or a recruitment agency, then it makes sense to get a
country-specific domain. You actually benefit from having such a local domain because the people in
your country know that they're dealing with a local entity, which is what they want. After all, if they stay
in (say) the United Kingdom, they're not likely to want to try to order pizza from pizzaparlour.com, which
suggests a US or international site. You'll have better luck calling it pizzaparlour.co.uk, i.e., with a UK
domain.
What if your site or business can benefit from an international audience? There are actually many schools
of thought on this. I'll just mention a few common ones.
The first school of thought goes on the premise that it is better to have a domain name of your choice
"myperfectdomain" even if it has a TLD of ".net", ".org" or some other country specific extension, than to
wind up choosing an obscure domain name for the simple reason that you can't get your first choice.
Therefore they would settle for domain names like "myperfectdomain.de" or "myperfectdomain.net".
Against this is the argument that if you get a country specific domain, people might think that your
business only caters to that country.
Another school of thought finds that ".net" and ".org" extensions are actually quite acceptable domain
names. For some, the ‗.org‘ extension actually describes the non-profit nature of their organization. So,
for example, The Nature Conservancy can be found at ―tnc.org,‖ and the well known merchant account
can be found at "authorize.net".
Others settle for the ‗.com‘ extension and nothing else. As grounds for their arguments, they cite the
browser algorithms used to locate a website when a user simply types a name like "schoolbridge" into the
browser. Apparently, the browser searches for a domain name "schoolbridge.com" before attempting
―schoolbridge.net," etc. As such, people who do that will be delivered to your competitor's site if you do
not also own the ‗.com‘ extension. Indeed, even if people do not rely on their browser to complete their
typing, many simply assume a ‗.com‘ extension when they type a domain name, so if your business is
―Schoolbridge, " they'll just assume your domain name is "schoolbridge.com" rather than
―schoolbridge.net" or some other similar name.

Many of these names are not even real words. I mean honestly, look at the name of the software… Daily
