Employee Access Center 3.0 How To Get Started

Employee Access Center 3.0
How To Get Started
Logging In to EAC
From inside your web browser, go to https://eac.msdmv.k12.in.us/EAC3/login.aspx
You may want to save this link under Favorites > Add To Favorites…
At the login screen, enter your User Id and Password. Your User Id (which used to be
your Social Security Number) is now your MSDMV email address. Your initial
Password was originally set to your Social Security Number (without the dashes), but if
you have logged in and changed it, your Password will be the same as your existing EAC
2.0 password.

<MSD email address, e.g. [email protected] >
<EAC password>
Changing Your Password
After logging on for the first time, be sure to immediately change your password. The
Update Account option is at the top of the screen, right side of page. You will need to
enter your new password twice to confirm.
There is currently no requirement in Employee Access Center (EAC) for password
length, the kinds of password characters you can use, or password duration, but you will
want to use a password that is not easy to guess, and will want to change it regularly (at
least once a year) to be sure your sensitive employee information is not compromised.
Here are some suggested password practices:
Password length:
Password characters:
Password duration:
At least 6 characters
Use a combination of letters and numbers, but no spaces
Change your password at least yearly
Viewing Your Information
Once logged in, you can view the following areas of your own personal employee
information. You access each these areas by using the links on the left-hand pane of the
EAC screens.
Demographic Information – provides a snapshot of the various employment information
on file for you in our personnel database.
Additional Employee Information – includes Job Skills, Education, and Certifications.
Payroll Checks – lists each direct-deposit voucher that you have received, with detailed
pay stub information available for each payment by clicking on the voucher number.
Salary and Benefits – shows historical salary compensation and employer-paid benefits
from the prior calendar year. Be cautious of these salary numbers, because they may
include old or unused pay rates and might not be calculating those rates correctly on an
annual basis. If you want accurate detail on taxable wages, look under Print W2s.
Leave Information – provides a calendar (Leave Calendar) showing the leave days you
have requested, and a summary (Leave Banks) that shows your balances as of the last
posted leave days. Click on a Leave Day on your calendar for detailed information,
including whether the leave was for half-day or full-day. In the Leave Banks page, use
the Show Leave Detail arrow button to drop down a list of all leave days of this type that
you have taken recently.
Print W2s – allows you to print out a PDF version of prior year W2 statements showing
tax year income and taxes. The printed format does not exactly match the original W2
issued at the end of that tax year, but the data provided is identical.
Tax Information – gives a snapshot of the tax exemptions and tax filing status being used
for your payroll calculations, as well as links to the federal IRS and state Department of
Revenue websites.
Deductions and Benefits – shows your current (Active) payroll deductions, including the
amount you pay and the amount the employer (MSDMV) pays.
The information in EAC is displayed directly from our district personnel and payroll
database, and therefore is as current as possible, given the timing of our payroll and
personnel procedures. With this updated web portal available to you at any time, we
hope that it will help you better track your salary and benefits, as well as keep a handle
on the leave days that are available to you at any time during the school year. We intend
to continue improving this employee portal to better serve you throughout the year!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What do I do if there is incorrect information on my screen(s)?
A. Some screens have an email link to the person who can help you. Generally, if
your question involves Employee Information or Leaves, you will contact Joyce
Allbright at [email protected] . If the question relates to Payroll or
Insurance benefits, you will want to contact Beth Yeida at
[email protected] .
Q. How current is the Leave Bank and Leave Calendar information?
A. We normally update this information at the end of the week that timecards are
due. So if you turn in leave days through Wednesday on your timecard, by Friday
or the Monday following you should see those leaves on your Leave Calendar and
in your Leave Bank totals.
Q. When will my pay stub information be available to view each pay period?
A. We normally update this information early in the week that payroll direct deposits
are distributed. You will be able to see your payroll information at least a day or
two before the actual payday.
Q. When will I be able to access this information from home?
A. You can access all of this information from any computer connected to the
internet. All connections you make to the Employee Access Center are secure
and verified to avoid any loss of personal data or other important information
when using the internet.
Q. What if I forget my password?
A. If you lose or forget your password, or believe it has been compromised, please
contact Loren Evans at [email protected] for a password reset.
