These questions take centre stage in the 2014 European-Japanese Joint Seminar, which is part of an EU-related programme for Japanese students from Tokyo University. European - Japanese Joint Seminar The programme covers central aspects concerning the European-Asian relations and stresses their individual as well as common interests. Among other things the seminar includes lectures and workshops, at which participants from Belgium, Japan and Germany  discuss the political and economic relations between the EU and Asia, EU integration as a role model for Japan and China and sustainable development as a common challenge for the EU and Japan,  deepen their knowledge in multinational working groups,  extend their intercultural understanding. The programme is a voyage of discovery for each participant, including valuable intercultural and experience-oriented elements.
