1). From Warsaw to Zakopane
a). Take a flight from Warsaw to Krakow
Daily flights are running all day long between Warsaw and Krakow with LOT
airline. Refer to the table below or simply go to the following link for time-table

b). Take a train from Warsaw to Krakow
You can take bus No.175 from terminal II to Central (Centralna) train station.
The travel time is around 20 minutes (if there's no traffic; when the traffic is huge,
it may be up to 1 hour). The cost of the ticket is 2.40 PLN for an adult, to be on the
safe side you may also buy an additional ticket for the luggage (2.40 PLN, same as
for you) - theoretically, you don't need it anymore, but there are still ticket
inspectors who will have a huge problem if you travel with a big bag without the
additional ticket.
Taxi fee (No tips) from airport to the train station is normally less than
40PLN.

c). Take a train from Warsaw to Zakopane

On most trains you need to book a seat in advance. You cannot book without
buying a ticket at the same time.
If you come to Zakopane from Warsaw an overnight sleeper train is also a
possibility.

From Balice Airport in Krakow you have to get to the Krakow PKP Railway
Station area to take a bus to Zakopane. To do so you can:
z Call a taxi (phone numbers e.g. 9661 or 9622 in Krakow) cost apr 40
PLN, or
z Take a bus number 192 or 208 (ticket is less than 3 PLN).
z Or take a train from station-Regionalny Dworzec Autobusowy located in
Bosacka street, The departure time is listed as below:

15:40, 16:10, 17;10, 18:15, 18:45, 19:15, 20:00, 22:05
When you arrive in Krakow you do not need to book a bus to Zakopane as
there are frequent shuttle buses to Zakopane, which leave around every 40 min.
from the area of the PKP Railway Station. The Krakow-Zakopane line is serviced
by Szwagropol, Trans-Frej and PKS companies. The ticket costs around 10 PLN.
Alternatively, you can use a train but the train is slower (Polish State Railways
Time-table(http://www.pkp.com.pl/en/indexen.html)).
3). From Katowice to Zakopane
a). By bus - To the City Centre of Katowice and then take a train to
Zakopane. Departure times: 0.15, 1.10 (this one via Bielsko-Biala), 4.45, 7.30,
10.00, 11.50, 14.00, 16.00, 17.15. all connections (except this one 1.10) are
via krakow. It takes 2-4 hours to get from katowice to zakopane by bus.
b). By airport taxi - (+48 32 20 526 26, +48 32 20 142 00 and +48 32 20
421 21) by which you can go directly to Zakopane. Or you can go by Zakopane

3). From Poprad( Slovakia) to Zakopane
The nearest way to Zakopane is from Poprad(Slovakia), the view is very pretty
besides the road, you may select one of the following way:
a. By taxi (Taxi parking is in front of the departure hall).
b. Car rental offices are located in the main hall: Hertz (phone +421 911 650
180) and Europcar (phone +421 903 409 778).
c. There is a bus directly from Poprad to Zakopane, it leaves daily during the
high season and holidays at 16:50 (Th and Sa is 6:00), it stops in the high
Tatras on route.
