Camp Merrowvista, Tuftonboro, NH
Project LEAD is proud to present the FIFTH ANNUAL UNH LEADERSHIP CAMP, a
5-day interactive leadership development experience. UNH students will be selected to
attend this unique opportunity. Trained facilitators and charismatic guest speakers will
take participants on a leadership development journey centered in cutting-edge theories
and approaches. Throughout the week, participants will work in large groups, in small
groups, and individually to explore a variety of leadership concepts including:



the importance of CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS in leadership
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and how to boost their “EQ”
leadership as a process that should be used to SERVE others
Moreover, participants will work throughout the week to create a Leadership Action Plan
that will help them bring concepts to life to create positive, enduring, and meaningful
change back on the UNH campus. Leadership Camp is NOT yesterday’s leadership—

UNH Leadership Camp will take place from
January 19th– 23rd, 2011.
WHERE?
Camp Merrowvista—an education center in
beautiful Tuftonboro, NH, about one hour
from campus.
HOW MUCH?
If accepted, the price for you is only $75!!
This covers the cost of leadership training,
food, transportation, UNH Leadership Camp
apparel, and a place to stay! This is a $500
value!
WHO?
UNH Leadership Camp is open to all full-time
UNH students. First- and second-year students
are strongly encouraged to apply.
WHY?
UNH Leadership Camp is a dynamic and
interactive week, and we promise it will be an
experience you will never forget! This is the third
year that UNH Leadership Camp is being offered,
so you will have the opportunity to be a part of
something special and historical! Don’t miss your

SETTING THE STAGE
Lots of high-energy activities and games will get the week
rolling as our focus for Day 1 is community building
and laying groundwork for the rest of the week’s
events!
ENCOURAGING THE HEART
Today’s focus is clarification of personal values,
which will be brought out with an action-packed challenge
course, a powerful presentation about courage, and the
start of the Leadership Action Plan (LAP) process!
INSPIRING SHARED VISION
Building relationships and creating vision as a
group are the main goals for Day 3, as a series of guest
speakers and a few simulation activities get your blood
pumping, your heart pounding, and your brain bending!
CHALLENGING THE PROCESS
Being good critical thinkers will be emphasized a lot
today, as the group moves to the point in the LAP process
where everyone will share their LAPs. The night will end
with a powerful group experience.
ENABLING OTHERS TO ACT
Participants are challenged to think about leadership in a
new exciting way—as service to others.
MODELING THE WAY
As the session of Leadership Camp comes to a close,
everyone is left with the inspiration to help carry on
their LAPs, and a memorable commencement ceremony
recognizes all those involved!
