How to Send Shape Files Wirelessly to a 20/20 Summary: FieldView Plus users can use the FieldView website to upload Shape Files (prescriptions or boundaries) and transfer them wirelessly to planters in the field using this simple 3 step process: 1) Upload Shape Files on the Data Transfer Page of the FieldView Website. 2) CloudSync will sync the Shape Files down to the iPad. 3) When connected to a 20/20, use FieldView’s DataTransfer screen to transfer the Shape Files to the 20/20. Once the Shape Files are transferred to the 20/20, they can be assigned to a field as a Prescription or Boundary. Step #1: Upload Shape Files to the Data Transfer Page in the FieldView Website. •

Login to http://fieldview.precisionplanting.com and go to Data Transfer. Click on “Add Files” and select Shape Files from your PC. Note* you must either select the .dbf, .shp, and .shx files or a .zip file that contains all components of one or more Shape Files. Note* On Internet Explorer, only 1 file can be uploaded at a time, so .zip files are recommended. The files will upload and you will see an increased number of files in the table. 1 Revised 11/7/13 Step #2: CloudSync will Sync 20/20 Coverage File Down to the iPad •

The FieldView app will CloudSync every 5 minutes when it is open, or you can press the CloudSync button (Hurry Button) from the Home Page or Data Transfer page. On the Data Transfer page, the # of Shape Files will increase and the date will update to the current date. Step #3: Transfer the Shape File(s) to the 20/20 in Planter #2 •
•
With the planter stopped, on the Data Transfer page, select “Shape Files” and press the Transfer button. This will transfer the Shape file(s) to the 20/20. When the transfer completes, the following popup message will appear. •
Now, in the 20/20, go to Setup, press on the Field quadrant, and you can assign the Shape field to be a Prescription or Boundary for a field. Note* Shape files are not assigned to Field in the FV Website. They are passed down to the 20/20 through FieldView and the assignment to the field is made in 20/20. Once the Shape File is assigned, the prescription zones are visible in FieldView on the Coverage Map and Population Map. 2 Revised 11/7/13
