Our partner: POLIS
POLIS is the London School of Economics’ journalism think-tank in the Department of Media and
Communications. It’s events and research is aimed at working journalists, people in public life and students
in the UK and around the world. POLIS is the place where journalists and the wider world can examine and
discuss the media and its impact on society.
POLIS has a dual mission to:
–– provide a forum for public debate and policy intervention on key issues of news journalism
–– produce outstanding research on the impact of mediation and journalism in our societies POLIS has a Summer
School, a Fellowship programme for journalists, and research programmes on topical news media issues such as
Arab media, the role of NGOs in international reporting and the impact of social media on journalism.
It welcomes collaboration with media organisations, foundations, and other civil society organisations.
