How to configure Microsoft Outlook for TKS POP3 Email: 1) Open the Control Panel by clicking the Start button, move your mouse to “Settings” and then click “Control Panel” 2) Double-click on the “Mail” icon: 3) Click “Mail Accounts” 4) From the “Account Settings” menu, click “New” 5) From the “Auto Account Setup” menu, click “Manually configure server settings…” 6) Once you have selected “Manually configure server settings…”, click “Next” 7) From the “Add New Account”, select “Internet E-mail” and click “Next” 8) Please review the below screen and follow the instructions very carefully: Email Settings: i. Your Name: Type in your name. ii. Email Address: Type in the email address that was issued to you by TKS. iii. Account Type: Select “POP3” iv. Incoming Server: mail.tkscomputersolutions.com v. Outgoing Server: mail.tkscomputersolutions.com vi. Username: Type in the username that was issued to you by TKS. vii. Password: Type in the password that was issued to you by TKS. viii. Click “Remember Password” (Recommended). ix. Click “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA). 9) Click on the “More Settings” button. The following screen will appear: 10) Click on the “Outgoing Server” tab: Make sure to select “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected. 11) Click on the “Advanced” Tab: Make sure that the following settings are changed: Incoming Server (POP3): 995 “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” : checked Outgoing server (SMTP): 587 Use the following type of encrypted connected: Auto 12) Click “OK” to save and close the “More Settings” menu. 13) Click “Next” *NOTE: If you are using Outlook 2010, you will receive the following test dialog box: 14) Click “Finish” to save and close your new TKS Email configuration settings.
