SME Special:
How to raise EU-Funding for Innovative SME´s
BACKGROUND
TARGET GROUP
Sound financial support and reliable project partners are key to succeed in innovative projects. Due to the financial and economical crisis,
mainly Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) face challenges
in obtaining financial aid. Although the European Commission strongly encourages the innovative SMEs with Community programmes, the
complexity of these Programmes makes it difficult for entrepreneurs and
SME support organisations to choose the most suitable funding. Each
programme has different objectives and establishes its own rules for
funding application.
On the other hand 7th Research Framework Programme (FP7) and the
Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) offer many financing
opportunities for SMEs. The alternative Programme Eurostars provides
further grants for within the European research initiative Eureka. The
next calls in 2010 offer the unique chance to realize your projects. To be
competitive, you need to understand the requirements and procedures
of EU programmes.
