Dr. S. K. Bhave has worked as General Manager in BHEL unit of R&D, Hyderabad
and later in L&T. At present he is a free lance consultant and has been invited by
Swami Baba Ramdev at Patanjali Yogpeeth to give his presentation.
He has carried out detailed scientific analysis using modern engineering tools as to
why and how Pranayam works to eliminate serious ailments such as hypertension,
diabetes, hyperacidity, coronary blockages, depression and host of other serious
health issues. His presentation is aimed at bringing out some scientific facts behind
Pranayam science, which makes it as one of the most powerful tools for overcoming
serious health problems.
The presentation deals with some elementary aspects of human anatomy and
physiology, mechanics of breathing and effects of breathing pattern on the overall
health. These are essential to understand the various mechanisms, which act when
Pranayam breathing is done. During the presentation, detailed discussion on the
depth, speed and rhythm in Pranayam breathing will be presented.
