Sub: Expression of Interest from OEM/ their e-retail partners for home air conditioners
for enabling e-purchase by BHEL employees

BHEL INVITES:Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited invites OEM/ their e-retail partners for home air conditioners to
participate in its ‘Employee Participation Programme’ for enabling e-purchase by its employees
with preferential offers.
As part of the programme, web link of interested OEMs/ their e-retail partners shall be
hosted on BHEL’s Intranet page.
BRIEF OF THE SCHEME
Minimum specifications: The employee may buy One No. of Air conditioner of minimum 1.5 ton with five
star B.E.E. rating irrespective of brand and type/ model depending on his / her requirement.
Cost ceilings for reimbursement of ACs: The ceilings for the reimbursement of cost of ACs will be ₹
40,000.00 (including all taxes/duties, delivery, installation charges, warranty, dismantling/re-installation,
spares etc.). No separate charges shall be reimbursed towards installation, onsite service support during
warranty, replacement of any defective parts during warranty period, cost of suitable stabilizer, cable, piping
and labour charges etc., if any.
Compulsory Purchase from e-commerce sites through Credit Card/ Debit Card / Net Banking mode:
An employee shall have to necessarily purchase the Air conditioner only using Credit/Debit card or Internet
banking, in the name of ‘BHEL-Account Name of employee, Staff No.______’ ONLY through web sites of
all interested OEMs/sites of e-retailers having tie-up with such OEMs, hosted on BHEL intranet page.
Annual Maintenance Contract & Insurance:
During the life cycle of the Air Conditioner but beyond initial warranty period offered by manufacturer, the
AMC charges to the extent of ₹ 2000/- per year (inclusive of taxes) will be reimbursable on production of
bills. Company will not enter into contracts for AMC of these ACs.
No separate charges shall be payable towards installation, onsite service support, replacement of any
defective parts, cost of suitable stabilizer, cable, piping and labour charges, dismantling/ re-installation on
account of shifting of residence etc.
