Camps
Nothing like a “Dog Hockey” practice.
The Huskie Development Camps have continued to place
an emphasis on skill development. We believe we lead
by example in this area! Our curriculums are planned to
ensure the participant learns through an environment of
positive learning and fun activity.
Each participant receives two ice sessions daily (total of
ten hours). A well, each age group will be supervised by
at least two group leaders and three on-ice instructors will
conduct each ice session, one being the head instructor.
Note, some of our younger age groups require more on
ice personnel; in this case, our on-ice instructors will be
increased. Also the Huskie Hockey Schools welcome
all girls who love the game. We are prepared to take
registrations in all our sections for girls. We have
female group leaders and instructors. Get a group of
you and get in the same session – it is way more fun!
Note: Our Atom and Pee Wee full day sessions will
continue to be run in a “practice format” this year!
It will be open to 2 goalies and 10 defensemen and 16
forwards. Two practices a day plus all the off-ice

– “Young Guns”
Puck Control/Puck Protection/Skating Skills
The goaltender is the most important player on a hockey
team and the one who is most neglected during practices.
Coaches find that goaltenders are hard to instruct and
teach because they are individuals on a team. This five day
camp teaches each goaltender proper stance and balance,
positioning of hands and feet, angles, poke checks, breakaways, and many other aspects for their position.
They will receive 13 hours of quality on-ice instruction
(two ice sessions daily), classroom work, and outdoor
activities. There are also a specialized, supervised off-ice
training programs to improve coordination, agility and
balance. Enrollment is limited to 28 participants.
