The following are clarifications to or changes to the tender documents:
1
Clarification: Rear wall of Gym (where works are to take place) is to be clad in PBS
Eterpan (refined). Gym wall is to have approximately 120m² of cladding as shown on
new drawing AL156.

Clarification: Security gate detail shown on drawing AA305 attached.

Change: Soffit to north and south elevations (two story block) are shown on updated
detail 32 on drawing AA305 attached.

Clarification: Tanking membrane to be used is to be Sika blackseal SB spray applied
tanking as described in the specification.

Clarification: Roof framing (timber trusses) over faculty office is to have a heal in the
truss (420mm from underside of bottom chord to top of top chord) as shown on
section C-C.

Change: Window W103 is to be a double hung window in lieu of the single slider as
shown in tender documents.

Clarification: Top floor concrete nib is to be constructed as per BSK drawings using
masonry block.

Change: External walls on top floor (running north to south) are to be 190x45mm
SG8 H1.2 timber framing.

4. Demolition
4.01.01
QUALIFICATION: carry out demolition only under the supervision
of a suitably experienced person and using only experienced
operators and drivers. Obtain and pay for any required
inspection which are additional to the building consent. Take all
precautions necessary to minimise nuisance caused by dust,
dirt, rubbish and water. SITE SAFETY: prevent access by
unauthorised persons. Illuminate and protect all holes, unsafe
buildings and other hazards. Leave site and building safe at the
close of each days work. REINSTATE AND MAKE GOOD:
reinstate and make good demolition damage to adjoining
properties, existing work, services, or property.

Take necessary care when demolishing existing buildings of the
existing storm water (SW) and sanitary sewer (SS) drains.
Existing drains are approximately shown. Confirm positions on
site prior to commencement of work. Trench around the new
building as shown and re-route all existing drains from other
buildings through this trench. Confirm on site the location and
direction of flow of existing drains. Make good at completion of
works where existing asphalt cut. Refer to Foundation Plan &
Plumbing & Drainage Plan for further information.

Stage 2 works - Existing art block is to be demolished (including
floos slabs/foundations) at the completion of the new
technology block. Allow to remove entire building including floor
slab and adjacent concrete paths. Make good to area, back fill
to voids (drainage/footings) with compacted hard fill and install
new 30mm asphalt. Refer to site works plan for further
information. Terminate and conceal all services and cap off
below ground level or at source point.

Autex Grenstuf R2.2 insulation into wall cavity and line with
building wrap. Make good to roof and finish existing roof with a

Existing tree is to be protected from construction works.
Existing high level cladding to gym is asbestos. Remove existing
cladding (asbestos and other) from high wall of gym, caution
must be used. Make good ready for new cladding. Plastic drop
sheets to be used for waste material with all waste to be
disposed of at an approved site. A minimum P2 mask must be
worn by all workers in the vicinity when dealing with asbestos.
Work to comply with NZ OSH guidelines.

and install new top plate. Weatherproof with suitable covers

around grilles, keep all flashings/trims for re-use
on new cladding. Allow to extend liners on grilles as
new cladding is to be on a 20mm cavity.
