‫הזמנת פרופסורים אורחים לשנת ‪2014-2015‬‬ ‫מסמך זה מנוסח בלשון זכר אך הכוונה לגברים ולנשים כאחד‪.‬‬ ‫מרכז הלברט ללימודים קנדיים מודיע בזאת על תוכנית להזמנת פרופסורים אורחים לשנת הלימודים‬ ‫‪ .2014-2015‬מטרת התכנית היא ליצור גשרים וקשרים בין חוקרים קנדים וישראלים על בסיס‬ ‫פלטפורמה אקדמית אשר תעשיר את השותפים‪/‬ות לה בתכניה‪ .‬למימוש תכנית זו עומדות לרשותכם‬ ‫שתי חלופות‪.‬‬ ‫חלופה ראשונה‬ ‫הזמנת אורח מומחה שילמד קורס אחד בתחום התמחותו במשך סמסטר אחד )‪ 13‬שבועות(‪ .‬קורסים‬ ‫כאלו יכללו תוכן קנדי‪ .‬בנוסף‪ ,‬במשך שהותו האורח ייפגש עם עמיתים וחברי סגל‪ ,‬יעביר הרצאה‬ ‫ציבורית וכן יעסוק במחקר‪.‬‬ ‫במידה שתהיו מעוניינים להזמין פרופסור אורח אשר יעביר קורס עם תכנים קנדיים במסגרת תכנית‬ ‫הלימודים הרגילה שלכם‪ ,‬נא לשלוח אלינו‪:‬‬ ‫ קורות חיים של המועמד וביוגרפיה קצרה שתכלול תיאור של הניסיון ושל איכות ההוראה‬‫של המועמד‬ ‫ נושא הקורס וסילבוס קצר‬‫ מכתב תמיכה בו יצוין מדוע הקורס נחוץ בתכנית ההוראה שלכם‬‫בדיון בבקשה‪ ,‬הוועדה האקדמית של מרכז הלברט תשקול הן את איכות המועמד והן את הצרכים‬ ‫האקדמיים של המחלקות השונות באוניברסיטה העברית‪.‬‬ ‫בשנת ‪ 2014-15‬מרכז הלברט ללימודים קנדיים יקציב הונורריום בסכום של ‪ $ 2800‬לחודש‪ ,‬עליו‬ ‫יתווסף הסך של ‪ 400‬דולר לחודש דמי השתתפות בהוצאות שכר דירה‪ ,‬והחזר עבור כרטיס טיסה‬ ‫הלוך וחזור במחלקת תיירים‪ .‬בנוסף‪ ,‬האורח יוכל להגיש בקשה למלגה עד גובה ‪ $1,000‬למימון‬ ‫השתתפות בשכר לימוד באולפן בעברית בבית הספר לתלמידים מחו"ל ע"ש רוטברג בקמפוס הר‪-‬‬ ‫הצופים‪ .‬הסכום המוצע מדי שנה עלול להשתנות בהתאם לתקציב העומד בקרן לאותה שנה וכן‬ ‫להיקף ומסגרת הביקור המוצע‪.‬‬ ‫תנאי לקיום קורס כזה הוא השתתפות של לפחות ‪ 10-12‬סטודנטים‪/‬יות‪ .‬על מנת לממש תנאי זה‪ ,‬על‬ ‫הקורס להינתן בסמסטר השני כאשר הרישום אליו יעשה בתחילת שנת הלימודים עד תום שבועיים‬ ‫מתחילת השנה‪ .‬קורס אליו יירשמו פחות מהמספר המינימלי שלעיל לא יוכל להתקיים‪.‬‬ ‫חלופה שניה‬ ‫אם הצפי להשתתפות בקורס נמוך מהמינימום‪ ,‬ניתן יהיה לאפשר ביקור בשהות מקוצרת של שבוע‬ ‫עד ארבעה שבועות לצורך יצירה והידוק קשרים אקדמיים‪ ,‬במקום שהות ארוכה יותר לצורך הוראה‪.‬‬ ‫במהלך הביקור‪ ,‬האורח ייפגש עם חברי סגל ועמיתים‪ ,‬וכן יידרש להעביר הרצאה אחת לפחות‬ ‫במסגרת סדרת ההרצאות הציבוריות של מרכז הלברט ו‪/‬או סמינר מחלקתי‪ .‬אם המחלקה והאורח‬ ‫ירצו בכך‪ ,‬ניתן יהיה לסכם מתן סדנה‪/‬מיני קורס אינטנסיבי בן מספר פגישות שיינתן ע"י האורח‪.‬‬ ‫במקרה של בחירת החלופה השנייה‪ ,‬המחלקה המארחת תתבקש להכין ולהגיש תוכנית אירוח‬ ‫שתשקף את אופי והיקף הביקור‪ .‬זאת בנוסף לקורות חיים של המועמד וביוגרפיה קצרה של‬ ‫המועמד‪ .‬מרכז הלברט יממן כרטיס טיסה הלוך ושב במחלקת תיירים ותשלום הונורריום‬ ‫פרופורציונלי לשהות ולפעילות‪.‬‬ ‫יש להעביר הצעות לפרופסורים אורחים למרכז הלברט ללימודים קנדיים עד ה‪ 24 -‬בפברואר‪,‬‬ ‫‪ .2014‬הוועדה האקדמית של מרכז הלברט תבדוק את הבקשות ותודיע על החלטותיה עד ה‪20 -‬‬ ‫במרץ ‪.2014‬‬ ‫לבירורים נוספים ניתן לפנות למרכז הלברט ללימודים קנדיים‪:‬‬ ‫טל‪ ,588-1344 :‬דואר אלקטרוני‪[email protected] :‬‬ Visiting Professors Program at the Halbert Centre for Canadian Studies: 2014-2015 The Halbert Centre sponsors visiting professors to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The program aims to build bridges and strengthen ties between Canadian and Israeli scholars. There are two alternative options for participating in this program. Option I: During their stay in Jerusalem the visiting Canadian scholar will teach a semester-long (roughly 13 week) course with significant Canadian content, as well as give a departmental and/or a public lecture, meet with Israeli and other colleagues, and engage in research. The Academic Committee, while assessing the candidates' academic merit and teaching experience, will also take into account the needs of the various academic departments at the Hebrew University. As such, a complete application should include the following: - Applicant's CV and a short bio detailing the candidate's academic merit and teaching ability and experience The proposed course topic and syllabus A letter from the hosting departing in support of the applicant, as well as justification for why and how the department would benefit from the inclusion of such a course in their curriculum. During the 2014-15 academic year, the Halbert Centre for Canadian Studies will provide an Honorarium in the sum of $2,800 per month, as well as a $400 stipend towards an accommodation, and reimbursement for a round-trip economy class flight. In addition, the scholar may apply for a scholarship (up to $ 1000) towards participation in a Hebrew Language "Ulpan" class at the Rothberg International School. Amounts may vary depending on the scope and specific framework of the visit. In order to take advantage of this teaching option, courses must take place during the Spring semester, and have a minimum enrollment of 10-12 students. Option II: If enrollment is expected to be under the minimum requirement, scholars may also opt to choose a shorter, 1-4 week, stay in order to create and/or strengthen academic ties, rather than teach. During his or her stay, the Canadian scholar will meet with faculty as well as give a departmental and/or a public lecture, meet with Israeli colleagues, and engage in research. It may also be possible to conduct a small workshop or mini-course if the hosting department and visiting scholar so desire. If interested in this second option, the hosting department is requested to submit a hosting plan that will reflect the nature and scope of the visit, as well as the applicant's CV and a short bio. The Halbert Centre fill fund a round-trip economy class flight, as well as relative honorarium depending on the scope and specific framework of the visit. Applications for the Visiting Professors program must be submitted to the Halbert Center for Canadian Studies by the February 24th 2014. The Academic Committee of the Halbert Centre will check the applications and announce its decisions in March 20, 2014.
