The discussion is part of the course: 'Policing in a Multi-cultural Society and Public Trust' THE CENTRAL PARK FIVE, a documentary film from award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns, tells the story of the five black and Latino teenagers from Harlem who were wrongly convicted of raping a white woman in New York City’s Central Park in 1989. The five were exonerated in 2002 after having served their sentences. The film chronicles the case, for the first time from the perspective of these five teenagers, whose lives were upended by this miscarriage of justice. The Discussion will take place on Sunday, November the 10 th, between 17:00-19:00 in Room 640. The session will be held in English.
