‫תרופה זו נרשמה עבורך‪ .‬אל תעביר אותה לאחרים‪ .‬היא עלולה להזיק להם‬
‫אפילו אם נראה לך כי מצבם הרפואי דומה‪.‬‬
‫סלבותרים במשאף מרחיב סמפונות (דרכי הנשימה)‪ .‬מתאים במיוחד‬
‫להקלה מיידית של התקפי אסתמה וכן למניעה של סימפטומי אסתמה‪,‬‬
‫כתוצאה מפעילות גופנית או חשיפה לאלרגן‪.‬‬
‫אם מופיע קוצר נשימה זמן קצר לאחר נטילת התכשיר‪ ,‬תדירות ההתקפים‬
‫עולה‪ ,‬משך ההקלה אינו כרגיל (לפחות ‪ 3‬שעות) או שתדירות השימוש‬
‫במרחיב הסמפונות עולה‪ ,‬יש להיוועץ מיד ברופא‪.‬‬
‫סלבותרים אינו משמש תחליף לסטרואידים במתן דרך הפה או בשאיפה‬
‫אלא מהווה טיפול משלים‪.‬‬
‫במידה והנך סובל מיתר לחץ דם יש להיוועץ ברופא לפני תחילת טיפול‪.‬‬
‫‪ .1‬למה מיועדת התרופה?‬
‫סלבותרים במשאף מרחיב סמפונות (דרכי הנשימה)‪ .‬מתאים במיוחד להקלה‬
‫מיידית של התקפי אסתמה וכן למניעה של סימפטומי אסתמה‪ ,‬כתוצאה‬
‫מפעילות גופנית או חשיפה לאלרגן‪.‬‬
‫קבוצה תרפויטית‪ :‬מרחיבי סמפונות‪ ,‬אגוניסט סלקטיבי של רצפטורי‬
‫ביתא‪.2-‬‬
‫‪ .2‬לפני שימוש בתרופה‬
‫ אין להשתמש בתכשיר אם‪:‬‬
‫אתה רגיש (אלרגי) לחומר הפעיל או לכל אחד מהמרכיבים הנוספים אשר‬
‫מכילה התרופה (ראה סעיף ‪.)6‬‬
‫אזהרות מיוחדות הנוגעות לשימוש בתרופה‪:‬‬
‫ אין להשתמש בתרופה מבלי להיוועץ ברופא לפני התחלת הטיפול‬
‫אם‪:‬‬
‫• הינך בהיריון‪ ,‬מתכננת היריון או מניקה‪.‬‬
‫• הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר מליקוי בתפקוד‪ :‬הלב ו‪/‬או כלי דם (כולל קצב‬
‫לב לא סדיר או מהיר‪ ,‬תעוקת חזה)‪.‬‬
‫• הנך סובל מיתר לחץ דם או מפעילות יתר של בלוטת התריס‬
‫(תירואיד)‪.‬‬
‫• דווח לרופא אם סבלת בעבר מעווית הסמפונות‪.‬‬
‫ אזהרות נוספות‪:‬‬
‫• אם הנך רגיש למזון כלשהו או לתרופה כלשהי‪ ,‬כולל תרופה זו‪ ,‬עליך‬
‫להודיע על כך לרופא לפני נטילת התרופה‪.‬‬
‫• סלבותרים אינו משמש תחליף לסטרואידים במתן דרך הפה או בשאיפה‬
‫אלא מהווה טיפול משלים‪.‬‬
‫• באם הנך משתמש במשאף איפרטרופיום או אדרנוקורטיקוסטרואיד‪ ,‬יש‬
‫לשאוף תחילה את הסלבותרים ורק לאחר ‪ 5‬דקות את האחרים‪.‬‬
‫ אם אתה לוקח‪ ,‬או אם לקחת לאחרונה‪ ,‬תרופות אחרות כולל תרופות‬
‫ללא מרשם ותוספי תזונה‪ ,‬ספר על כך לרופא או לרוקח‪ .‬במיוחד יש‬
‫ליידע את הרופא או הרוקח אם אתה לוקח‪:‬‬
‫• תרופות לטיפול בדיכאון (כגון תכשירים מסוג טריציקליים‪ ,‬טטרציקליים‬
‫נוגדי דיכאון‪ ,‬חוסמי ‪ MAO‬ואחרים)‪.‬‬
‫• תרופות להורדת לחץ דם‪ ,‬במיוחד מקבוצת חוסמי ביתא (כגון‬
‫פרופרנולול)‪.‬‬
‫• תרופות להסדרת קצב לב לא סדיר או מהיר‪.‬‬
‫• תרופות המורידות את ריכוז האשלגן בדם (כגון‪ ,)Xanthines :‬משתנים‬
‫וסטרואידים ‪ -‬עשוי לגרום להיפוקלמיה‪.‬‬
‫• תרופות אחרות לטיפול באסתמה‪.‬‬
‫ שימוש בתרופה ומזון‬
‫אין למזון השפעה על התרופה‪.‬‬
‫ היריון והנקה‬
‫השימוש בסלבותרים במהלך ההיריון אינו מומלץ‪ .‬התרופה תינתן רק כאשר‬
‫הרופא סבור שמידת התועלת לאם גדולה מהסיכון האפשרי לעובר‪.‬‬
‫אם הינך מניקה יש להיוועץ ברופא לפני השימוש בתרופה‪.‬‬
‫ נהיגה ושימוש במכונות‬
‫תרופה זו אינה משפיעה בדרך‪-‬כלל על יכולת הנהיגה או הפעלת מכונות‪.‬‬
‫עם זאת‪ ,‬אם הנך חש בתופעת לוואי שעלולה לפגום בכושר הנהיגה או‬
‫הפעלת מכונות‪ ,‬היוועץ ברופא‪.‬‬
‫‪ .3‬כיצד תשתמש בתרופה?‬
‫תמיד יש להשתמש לפי הוראות הרופא‪ .‬עליך לבדוק עם הרופא או הרוקח‬
‫אם אינך בטוח‪.‬‬
‫המינון ואופן הטיפול ייקבעו על ידי הרופא בלבד‪ .‬המינון המקובל בדרך‪-‬כלל‬
‫הוא‪:‬‬
‫מבוגרים ומתבגרים מגיל ‪ 12‬ומעלה‪:‬‬
‫להקלה מיידית‪ :‬שאיפה אחת עד שתי שאיפות‪.‬‬
‫למניעת עווית הסמפונות כתוצאה ממאמץ או חשיפה לאלרגן‪ :‬שתי שאיפות‬
‫‪ 10-15‬דקות לפני המאמץ או החשיפה‪.‬‬
‫בטיפול כרוני‪ 1-2 :‬שאיפות‪ ,‬עד ארבע פעמים ביום‪.‬‬
‫ילדים מתחת לגיל ‪ 12‬שנים‪:‬‬
‫להקלה מיידית‪ :‬שאיפה אחת‪ ,‬ניתן להעלות את המינון עד שתי שאיפות‪,‬‬
‫בשעת הצורך‪.‬‬
‫למניעת עווית הסמפונות כתוצאה ממאמץ או חשיפה לאלרגן‪ :‬שאיפה אחת‬
‫‪ 10-15‬דקות לפני המאמץ או החשיפה‪ .‬ניתן להעלות את המינון עד שתי‬
‫שאיפות‪ ,‬בשעת הצורך‪.‬‬
‫בטיפול כרוני‪ 1-2 :‬שאיפות‪ ,‬עד ארבע פעמים ביום‪.‬‬
‫המנה המקסימלית (מבוגרים וילדים) הינה ‪ 8‬שאיפות ביממה‪.‬‬
‫לא לבלוע! תרופה זו מיועדת לשאיפה בלבד‪.‬‬
‫אין לעבור על המנה המומלצת‪.‬‬
‫אופן השימוש‪:‬‬
‫יש לשאוף תרופה זו אל תוך הריאות‪ ,‬דרך הפה‪.‬‬
‫אין לקחת יותר משתי שאיפות בבת אחת‪ .‬כשנזקקים לשתי שאיפות‪ ,‬יש‬
‫להמתין פרק זמן של כחצי דקה בין שאיפה לשאיפה‪.‬‬
‫לפני השימוש במשאף קרא בעיון את ההוראות הבאות‪:‬‬
‫בדיקת המשאף‪:‬‬
‫לפני השימוש הראשון‪ ,‬הסר את מכסה המשאף על ידי לחיצה עדינה בשני‬
‫צדדיו (איור מספר ‪ ,)1‬נער את המשאף היטב (איור מספר ‪ ,)2‬ושחרר לחיצה‬
‫אחת לחלל האוויר על מנת לוודא שהמשאף עובד‪.‬‬
‫כאשר המשאף אינו בשימוש מספר ימים יש לנער אותו היטב ולשחרר‬
‫לחיצה אחת אל חלל האוויר כדי לוודא שהמשאף עובד‪.‬‬
‫שימוש במשאף‪:‬‬
‫‪ .1‬הסר את המכסה מעל הפייה על ידי‬
‫ לחיצה עדינה בצידי המכסה (איור מספר‬
‫ ‪.)1‬‬
‫‪ .2‬בדוק את החלק הפנימי והחיצוני על‬
‫ מנת לוודא שפיית המשאף נקייה‪.‬‬
‫‪ .3‬נער היטב את המשאף כדי להבטיח‬
‫ שחלקיקים משוחררים יוסרו ותכולת‬
‫ המשאף תעורבב בצורה שווה (איור‬
‫ מספר ‪.)2‬‬
‫‪ .4‬החזק את המשאף זקוף (איור מספר‬
‫ ‪ ,)3‬בין האצבע לאגודל‪ ,‬כאשר האגודל‬
‫נמצא מתחת לפיית המשאף‪.‬‬
‫‬
‫‪ .5‬נשוף החוצה כמידת יכולתך ואז הכנס את הפייה לתוך הפה בין השיניים‬
‫תוך סגירת השפתיים מסביבה (איור מספר ‪ .)3‬אין לנשוך את המשאף‪.‬‬
‫‪ .4‬תופעות לוואי‪:‬‬
‫כמו לכל תרופה‪ ,‬השימוש בסלבותרים עלול לגרום לתופעות לוואי בחלק‬
‫מהמשתמשים‪ .‬אל תיבהל למקרא רשימת תופעות הלוואי‪ .‬יתכן ולא תסבול‬
‫מאף אחת מהן‪.‬‬
‫יש להפסיק את הטיפול בתרופה ולפנות מיד לרופא אם מתפתחות‬
‫התופעות הבאות‪:‬‬
‫רגישות יתר המתבטאת בנפיחות בעפעפיים‪ ,‬בפנים‪ ,‬בשפתיים‪ ,‬בפה‪ ,‬בלשון‪,‬‬
‫בגרון‪ ,‬פריחה מגרדת בעור‪ ,‬תחושת עלפון‪ ,‬סחרחורת‪ ,‬התמוטטות‪ ,‬קשיי‬
‫נשימה‪ ,‬קשיים בבליעה‪ ,‬לחץ‪/‬תעוקת חזה (נדיר מאד)‪ ,‬הפרעות בנשימה‬
‫לאחר נטילת התכשיר (נדיר)‪ ,‬קוצר נשימה המלווה בדרך‪-‬כלל בחרחורים‬
‫מוגברים (נדיר)‪.‬‬
‫יש להמשיך בטיפול בתרופה אך לפנות מיד לרופא אם מתפתחות‬
‫התופעות הבאות‪:‬‬
‫דפיקות לב מהירות או חזקות מהרגיל‪ ,‬אי סדירות בקצב הלב או עליה בקצב‬
‫הלב‪ ,‬רעד‪ ,‬כאב ראש‪ ,‬התכווצות שרירים‪ ,‬חוסר מנוחה‪ ,‬רגשנות (נדיר)‪.‬‬
‫תופעות לוואי נוספות‪:‬‬
‫תופעות לוואי המופיעות לעיתים קרובות הינן‪:‬‬
‫ גירוי בפה או בגרון‪ ,‬מומלץ לשטוף את הפה במים לאחר השימוש‬‫בתרופה‪.‬‬
‫ תחושת חוסר יציבות‪.‬‬‫ כאב ראש‪.‬‬‫ התכווצות שרירים‪.‬‬‫תופעות לוואי המופיעות לעיתים נדירות הינן‪:‬‬
‫ זרימת דם מוגברת לגפיים‪.‬‬‫ רמה נמוכה של אשלגן בדם‪.‬‬‫תופעות לוואי המופיעות לעיתים נדירות מאוד הינן‪:‬‬
‫ שינוי בדפוסי שינה‪ ,‬שינויים בהתנהגות כגון אי שקט ורגשנות‪.‬‬‫אם אחת מתופעות הלוואי מחמירה‪ ,‬או כאשר אתה סובל מתופעת לוואי‬
‫שלא הוזכרה בעלון‪ ,‬עליך להתייעץ עם הרופא‪.‬‬
‫תופעות מיוחדות בילדים‪:‬‬
‫על ההורים לדווח לרופא המטפל על כל תופעת לוואי וכן על כל תרופה‬
‫נוספת הניתנת לילד‪/‬ה!‬
‫‪ .5‬איך לאחסן את התרופה?‬

‫מנע הרעלה! תרופה זו וכל תרופה אחרת יש לשמור במקום סגור מחוץ‬
‫להישג ידם של ילדים ו‪/‬או תינוקות ועל ידי כך תמנע הרעלה‪ .‬אל תגרום‬
‫להקאה ללא הוראה מפורשת מהרופא‪.‬‬
‫אין להשתמש בתרופה אחרי תאריך התפוגה (‪ (exp. date‬המופיע על גבי‬
‫האריזה‪/‬תווית‪ .‬תאריך התפוגה מתייחס ליום האחרון של אותו חודש‪.‬‬
‫יש לאחסן במקום קריר מתחת ל‪ .30°C -‬אין להקפיא‪.‬‬
‫יש לאחסן באריזה המקורית על מנת להגן על המשאף מאור השמש‬
‫ומחשיפה לטמפרטורות גבוהות‪.‬‬
‫לאחר השימוש במשאף‪ ,‬יש להחזיר את מכסה המשאף למקומו בחוזקה‬
‫(אין להשתמש בכוח מוגזם)‪.‬‬
‫אם המשאף נעשה קר מאד‪ ,‬הוצא את מיכל המתכת מתוך מעטפת‬
‫הפלסטיק וחמם אותו בידך למשך מספר דקות לפני השימוש‪ .‬אין לחמם‬
‫את המיכל בצורה אחרת‪.‬‬
‫אזהרה‪ :‬המיכל הינו מיכל לחץ‪ .‬אין לנקבו‪ ,‬לשברו או לשרפו גם אם הוא‬
‫ריק‪.‬‬

‫ניקוי המשאף‪:‬‬
‫יש לנקות את המשאף לפחות פעם אחת בשבוע‪.‬‬
‫‪ .1‬הסר את מיכל המתכת מתוך מעטפת הפלסטיק של המשאף והסר את‬
‫מכסה המשאף‪.‬‬
‫‪ .2‬שטוף ביסודיות את מעטפת הפלסטיק תחת מים זורמים חמים‪.‬‬
‫‪ .3‬יבש ביסודיות את מעטפת הפלסטיק מבפנים ומבחוץ‪.‬‬
‫‪ .4‬החזר את מיכל המתכת ומכסה המשאף למקומם‪.‬‬
‫אין לשטוף את מיכל המתכת במים‪.‬‬
‫בדיקות ומעקב‪ :‬בתקופת הטיפול בתרופה זו יש לערוך בדיקות לקביעת‬
‫רמת אשלגן בדם‪ ,‬במיוחד בחולים באסתמה חריפה‪.‬‬
‫אם נטלת בטעות מינון גבוה יותר או אם בטעות שאף מן התרופה‬
‫ילד שאינו מטופל בתרופה זו יש לפנות לרופא בהקדם האפשרי או לחדר‬
‫מיון של בית חולים‪ ,‬ולהביא את אריזת התרופה איתך‪ .‬הסימנים אותם‬
‫יתכן ותרגיש הם‪:‬‬
‫ פעימות לב מהירות מהרגיל‬‫ רעד‬‫סימנים אלו בדרך‪-‬כלל חולפים לאחר מספר שעות‪.‬‬
‫אם שכחת ליטול התרופה בזמנה הקבוע‪ ,‬אין ליטול כשנזכרת אלא אם‬
‫אתה מרגיש קשיי נשימה ובכל מקרה אין ליטול שתי מנות ביחד‪ ,‬אלא אם‬
‫הרופא שלך הורה לך אחרת‪.‬‬
‫יש להתמיד בטיפול כפי שהומלץ על ידי הרופא‪ .‬אם אתה חש שהתרופה‬
‫אינה עוזרת או שאינה עוזרת כפי שהיה עד כה פנה לרופא מיד‪ .‬אל תיטול‬

Read this leaflet carefully in its entirety before using the medicine.
This leaflet contains concise information about the medicine. If you have
further questions, refer to the doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine has been prescribed for you. Do not pass it on to others.
It may harm them even if it seems to you that their medical condition is
similar.
Salbutrim inhaler is a bronchodilator. It is particularly suitable for
immediate relief of asthmatic attacks and for prevention of asthma
symptoms, resulting from physical activity or exposure to an allergen.
If shortness of breath occurs shortly after using the preparation, the
frequency of attacks increases, the duration of relief is not as usual (at
least 3 hours) or the frequency of using the bronchodilator increases,
consult the doctor immediately.
Salbutrim does not serve as a substitute for oral or inhaled steroids, but
constitutes a complementary treatment.
If you suffer from hypertension, consult the doctor before starting
treatment.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
Salbutrim inhaler is a bronchodilator. It is particularly suitable for immediate
relief of asthmatic attacks and for prevention of asthma symptoms,
resulting from physical activity or exposure to an allergen.
Therapeutic group: Bronchodilators, selective beta-2 receptor agonist.
2.BEFORE USING THE MEDICINE
Do not use the medicine if:
You are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or to any of the other
ingredients included in the medicine (see section 6).
Special warnings regarding use of the medicine:
Do not use the medicine without consulting the doctor before
starting treatment if:
• You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You suffer, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of: the
heart and/or blood vessels (including irregular or fast heart rate, angina
pectoris).
• You suffer from hypertension or from an overactive thyroid gland.
• Inform the doctor if you have suffered in the past from
bronchospasm.
Additional warnings:
• If you are sensitive to any food or medicine, including this medicine,
inform the doctor before taking the medicine.
• Salbutrim does not serve as a substitute for oral or inhaled steroids,
but constitutes as a complementary treatment.
• If you use an ipratropium or adrenocorticosteroid inhaler, first inhale
the Salbutrim and only after 5 minutes, inhale the others.
If you are taking, or have recently taken, other medicines, including
non-prescription medicines and nutritional supplements, tell the
doctor or pharmacist. It is especially important to inform the doctor or
the pharmacist if you are taking:
• Antidepressants (e.g., tricyclic, tetracyclic antidepressants, MAO
inhibitors and others).
• Antihypertensives, especially from the beta-blockers group (such as
propranolol).
• Medicines for irregular or fast heart rate regulation.
• Medicines that lower the concentration of potassium in the blood (e.g.:
xanthines), diuretics and steroids - may cause hypokalaemia.
• Other medicines for the treatment of asthma.
Use of the medicine and food
Food has no effect on the medicine.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Use of Salbutrim during pregnancy is not recommended. The medicine
will be given only when the doctor thinks that the benefit to the mother is
greater than the possible risk to the unborn baby.
If you are breastfeeding, consult the doctor before using the medicine.
Driving and using machinery
This medicine does not usually impact the ability to drive or operate
machines. However, if you experience side effects that may impair your
ability to drive or operate machines, consult the doctor.
3. HOW SHOULD YOU USE THE MEDICINE?
Always use according to the doctor’s instructions. Check with the doctor
or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The dosage and treatment regimen will be determined by the doctor only.
The usual dosage is generally:
Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 and above:
For immediate relief: one to two inhalations.
For prevention of bronchospasm induced by exertion or exposure to
an allergen: two inhalations 10-15 minutes before the exertion or the
exposure.
For chronic treatment: 1-2 inhalations, up to 4 times a day.
Children under 12 years of age:
For immediate relief: one inhalation. The dosage may be increased up to
two inhalations, when necessary.
For prevention of bronchospasm induced by exertion or exposure to an
allergen: one inhalation 10-15 minutes before the exertion or the exposure.
The dosage may be increased up to two inhalations, when necessary.
For chronic treatment: 1-2 inhalations, up to 4 times a day.
The maximal dose (in adults and children) is 8 inhalations per day.
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for inhalation only.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Instructions for use:
Inhale this medicine into the lungs, through the mouth.
Do not take more than two inhalations at once. When two inhalations are
necessary, wait about half a minute between each inhalation.
Before using the inhaler, carefully read the following instructions:
Checking the inhaler:
Before the first use, remove the cover of the inhaler, by gently pressing
on its sides (fig. 1), shake the inhaler well (fig. 2) and spray once into the
air to make sure that the inhaler works.
When the inhaler is not in use for a few days, shake well and spray once
into the air to make sure that the inhaler works.
Using the inhaler:
Tests and follow-up: During treatment with this medicine, tests should
be performed to determine the level of potassium in the blood, especially
in patients with acute asthma.
If you have accidentally taken a higher dosage or if a child who is
not being treated with this medicine has accidentally inhaled the
medicine, refer to a doctor or proceed to a hospital emergency room as
soon as possible and bring the package of the medicine with you. The
signs you may feel are:
- Heart beats faster than usual
- Tremor
These signs usually disappear after a few hours.
If you forgot to take the medicine at its set time, do not take it when
you remembered unless you experience breathing difficulties; in any case,
two doses should not be taken together, unless the doctor has instructed
otherwise.
Adhere to the treatment regimen as recommended by the doctor. If you
feel that the medicine is not helping or is not helping as it used to until
now, refer to the doctor immediately. Do not take any further doses, unless
the doctor has instructed otherwise.
How can you contribute to the success of the treatment? Complete the
treatment as recommended by the doctor; even if there is an improvement
in your health, do not stop treatment with the medicine without consulting
the doctor.
• Do not take medicines in the dark! Check the label and the dose
each time you take a medicine. Wear glasses if you need them.
• If you have any further questions regarding use of the medicine, ask
the doctor or pharmacist.
4. SIDE EFFECTS:
As with any medicine, use of Salbutrim may cause side effects in some
users. Do not be alarmed when reading the list of side effects. You may
not suffer from any of them.
Stop treatment with the medicine and refer to the doctor immediately
if the following effects develop:
Hypersensitivity manifested by swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, mouth,
tongue, throat, itchy skin rash, faint feeling, dizziness, collapse, breathing
difficulties, swallowing difficulties, chest tightness/angina pectoris (very
rare), breathing disturbances after using the preparation (rare), shortness
of breath usually with increased wheezing (rare).
Continue treatment with the medicine but refer to the doctor
immediately if the following effects develop:
Heart beats faster or stronger than usual, increased or irregular heart rate,
tremor, headache, muscle cramps, restlessness, excitability (rare).
Additional side effects:
Side effects that occur frequently are:
- Irritation in the mouth or throat; it is recommended to rinse the mouth
with water after using the medicine.
- Feeling unsteady.
- Headache.
- Muscle cramps.
Side effects that occur rarely are:
- Increased blood flow to the limbs.
- Low level of potassium in the blood.
Side effects that occur very rarely are:
- Changes in sleep patterns, changes in behaviour, such as restlessness
and excitability.
If one of the side effects worsens, or if you suffer from a side effect not
mentioned in the leaflet, consult with the doctor.
Special side effects in children:
Parents must inform the attending doctor about any side effect as well as
any additional medicine being given to the child!
5. HOW SHOULD THE MEDICINE BE STORED?
• Avoid poisoning! This medicine and any other medicine must be kept
in a safe place out of the reach of children and/or infants to avoid
poisoning. Do not induce vomiting unless explicitly instructed to do
so by the doctor.
• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date (exp. date) that appears
on the package/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that
month.
• Store in a cool place, below 30°C. Do not freeze.
• Store in the original package in order to protect the inhaler from sunlight
and from exposure to high temperatures.
• After using the inhaler, firmly return the inhaler cover to its place (do
not use excessive force).
• If the inhaler is very cold, remove the metal canister from the plastic
casing and warm it up in your hands for a few minutes before using.
Do not warm the canister in any other way.
• Warning: the canister is pressurized. Do not puncture, break or burn
it, even if it is empty.
6. FURTHER INFORMATION
• In addition to the active ingredient, the medicine also contains:
Oleic acid, absolute ethanol, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFA 134a)
• What does the medicine look like and what are the contents of the
package?
The package contains a metal inhaler inside a plastic casing with a
cover. The inhaler contains 200 measured doses of the medicine.

1. Remove the cover from the mouthpiece
by gently pressing on the sides of the
cover (fig. 1).
2. Check the inside and the outside parts
to make sure that the inhaler
mouthpiece is clean.
3. Shake the inhaler well to ensure that
any loose particles are removed and
that the content of the inhaler will be
evenly mixed (fig. 2).
4. Hold the inhaler upright (fig. 3),
between the forefinger and thumb,
with the thumb under the mouthpiece
of the inhaler.
5. Exhale, as much as you can, and then insert the mouthpiece into your
mouth, between your teeth, while closing your lips around it (fig. 3). Do
not bite the inhaler.
6. Inhale deeply, while pressing down on the metal canister.
This action releases a measured amount of salbutamol
(fig. 4).
7. Take out the inhaler from your mouth and try to hold your breath for as
long as you can.
8. If you need more inhalations, hold the inhaler upright, and wait about
half a minute before the next inhalation. Repeat steps 3-7.
9. Return the inhaler cover to its place by firmly pushing and clicking the
cover into position.
After each inhalation, rinse your mouth with water.
Do not rush with steps 5, 6, 7. It is important to breathe slowly before
pressing the inhaler. Practice a few times in front of the mirror. If you see
”mist” at the top of the inhaler or the sides of your mouth, start again
from step 3.
If the doctor has given you other instructions for use of the inhaler,
please follow his instructions carefully. Inform the doctor if you have any
difficulties.
Cleaning the inhaler:
The inhaler should be cleaned at least once a week.
1. Remove the metal canister from the plastic casing of the inhaler and
remove the inhaler cover.
2. Rinse the plastic casing thoroughly under hot running water.
3. Thoroughly dry the inside and the outside of the plastic casing.
4. Return the metal canister and the inhaler cover to their place.
Do not rinse the metal canister with water.
