NCS Prospect Fair
The NCS Prospect is a “first time ever in Norway”. Servicecompanies will get the opportunity to share prospects defined
by seismic- and EM-data, while the oil companies are given
the opportunity to present prospects where they would like to
share risk, or want to farm-out of, partly or fully. These events are
common in the UK and the US, but this is the first time such an
event is available to companies active on the NCS.
Networking and social programme
With speakers and participants from the authorities, oil
companies, service companies, consultants as well as the
universities, this conference represents an excellent opportunity
for networking. The social programme includes coffee breaks
(!), conference dinner, and dinner entertainment. In addition, the
venue is superbly located for outdoor activities including field trips
(geology, ornithology) and exercising.
Field trip outside the hotel
In the afternoon of the first day participants in the conference
are invited to join us on a short field trip outside the hotel and
along the fjord emphasizing the Cambro-Silurian section of the
Oslo Graben and its relevance to the NCS. Professor Hans
Arne Nakrem from the University of Oslo and Morten Bergan in
Bayerngas will be our guides. We plan for a leisurely walk, but
bring hiking shoes (and lenses).
Entertainment
There will be a short session with musical entertainment
during Wednesday dinner. Langhus Blæselag dressed up in
«Lederhosen» will contribute with Ompa-ompa music, and you
may sing along and swing your glass. One of the cornet players
(and reserve conductor) of the orchestra may look familiar to you.
It is Geir Lunde, Managing Director of Concedo ASA.
