BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION-ECO-FRIENDLY WAY - AYSHA OF IIC In connection with the “Hindi Diwas” on 14th September the children performed a skit and an informative talk highlighting the importance of Hindi as our National Language. CELEBRATING BIRTHDAY IN A NOBLE WAY 16TH September is celebrated as International Ozone Day .On this ocassion Kavya Abhyankar of IIE hightlighted the importance of protecting the Ozone Layer. Inter House Choral Singing for classes IV & V. Inter House Flower Carpet. Inter House Choral Singing for classes VI to XII (Onam songs) Teachers conducted the Morning Assembly. Student Teachers took over as teachers. Rear Admiral MS Pawar, Chief of Staff, SNC and Chairman NCS was the Chief Guest. Cmde NVS Raju, Vice Chairman NCS, Cdr K Jayaraman, Director NCS and Cmde K N Kaul, President, PTA attended the function . Presents sponsored by PTA were distributed by Cmde T N Kaul, President PTA, followed by a feastly lunch. Visits Made I. II. Classes XII C and XII D – Home for the Disabled at Thevara Ferry Classes VI, Snehabhavan, Palluruthy PM’s Address Live telecast of PM’s Address and interaction with students were shown to students of classes IV to XII. Hindi Week Celebrations As part of the Hindi week Celebrations various competitions were organized for classes VI to VIII. Word Power – Class VI Poetry Writing-Class VII Story Writing-Class VIII Prizes were given away to the winners in a Special Assembly Exams Held SA-I Exam started for classes VI to X on 12th September Half yearly Exam started for classes XI and XII on 15th September National Cyber Olympiad was held on 18 September for classes II to XII Prizes Won Pratyush Padmanabhan of class VIII A received a cheque for Rs.750/- from the Children’s Magazine for his short story. Aanya Segat of class VII E got a covetous prize in connection with the Essay writing competition marking the celebration of Teachers’ Day titled “GURUTSAV 2014” organized by MHRD. She received a cash prize of Rs.5000/-, 2 Books and a Certificate from CBSE. Weekly Quiz Conducted 1. History of Indian Cinema 2. Milestones in the History of Aviation Open House Open House was conducted for classes I to V on 20th September. Staff Meeting Bhaskar Nain of class X C bagged the Gold Medal in Ernakulam district Rifle Shooting Championship conducted by Kerala Rifle Shooting Association. At state level, he won Silver Medal and qualified for the South Zone level Competition. Won gold medal in the team event , he qualified for the nationals. 1. For discussing the conduct of CBSE Cluster VI Football Tournament 2. Correction of exam papers, exchange of marks 3. For discussing the action plan of various committees regarding CBSE Football Tournament. Problems and doubts were pointed out or cleared.
