Now that we are on the winter frequency and have made the time switch we can at least get away from the SSB QRM. When sending radiograms back to originating station due to telephone number problems be sure to include the problem phone number in your radiogram. If you are a region rep and cannot get through to 4RN or RN5 with your traffic, the Hit and Bounce net is a good backup; it meets daily on 7112khz at 7:30am and 8:30am. Just list your traffic by destination state. 73 all…… John, WA4BAM, QFN Net Manager. From the editor……. . I have made some changes in my life recently, hopefully for the better. My wife and I didn’t agree on religion, so I guess I used that for an excuse not to go to church. Shamefully, I have not been to church in over 40 years, but now I am going back and been doing a lot of Bible reading. I have been at church the past three Sundays, Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. I had net skeds on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I have dropped Wednesdays in order to be at church. John agreed for me to take Thursdays or whatever nights I was available. I can be NCS, 4RN and Eastern Rep from 4RN when I check in. I have agreed to serve on the board of directors for the Lakeland Amateur Radio Club and the board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month, so I will be absent those nights but can make most Tuesdays as NCS and also NCS on 4RN. I can also start checking in on Mondays, but the 1st Monday of each month is the Lakeland Club meeting so I will miss the first Monday. I have also started going to a gym 3-4 times a week but I can go at my leisure, so that will not affect my net skeds but I have found muscles I forgot I used to have……. Hi Hi Keeping busy helps keep my spirits up…….. One waitress (half my age) at the Eagle Lake Diner gives me hugs so that helps!!! This newsletter is late this month, mainly because I just didn’t have my heart in it. I will try to be more punctual hearafter……. We always need news articles, or tid bits of information so I need everyone’s support along that line.
