Switch off the machine and disconnect the power plug before you upgrade the sensor. Make sure the power plug cannot be accidentally plugged back in. Before performing the upgrade, the power needs to be switched off: 1. Turn the power switch (1) to the O position. Disconnect the machine from the power supply. ATTENTION Electrostatic charging may cause damage to equipment! Work on the machine is ONLY permitted while wearing the antistatic armband. Release the screws (6) on the plugs. 4. Pull off the plug (6). Remove the new PCB from its antistatic bag. 2. Connect the plug (6) to the PCB. 3. Tighten the screws (6) on the plugs. 4. Screw the PCB (5) onto the stud bolts. 5. Tighten the PCB (5) to the stud bolts using the 4 screws (7). Loosen the screws (4) on the thread lever protection (5). 2. Remove the thread lever protection (5). 3. Loosen screw (1) on the head cover (2) and remove it. 4. Loosen screw (3) on the head cover (2). 5. Turn the head cover (2) back slightly. 6. Refit the screw (3) in order to keep the head cover (2) in its position. Attach the thread guide (2). 2. Tighten the screws (1). 3. The thread guide (2) must lie flush against the machine - bend the thread guide (2) by hand if necessary. Check the position of the thread guide on the sewing machine arm. 2. If the position is correct, continue fitting the BTSR sensor. 3. Bend the thread guide using a pair of pliers in the upper left area (3). 5. Fit the nut (3), washer and screw of the BTSR sensor. 7. Tighten the nut (3) with a 7 mm wrench. Attach the thread lever protection (6) so that it is located as far down from the sensor and as much to the right as possible from this and thereby does not collide with the thread lever (4) . 2. Check the thread lever protection (6) does not collide with the thread lever (4). 3. Tighten the screws (5) on the thread lever protection (6). 4. Loosen the screw (3) on the head cover (2). 5. Position the head cover (2) so it is flush with the machine again. 6. Insert the screw (1) on the head cover. 7. Tighten screws (1) and (3).
