Guide: How to use Discussion Board feature on www.CAMSS.org website
The CAMSS.org website has a Discussion Board which is to benefit members. Registered users are
allowed to create new Forum topics and post threads. The user login and password required for the
Discussion Board is different to the member login for the CAMSS website.
To access the “Discussion Board”, click on the top bar menu option “Discussion Board”
If you are a new user to the Discussion Board, then you have to register by setting up a user profile.
Click on “Register” at the top right of the screen.

Complete the mandatory fields of User name, Password, Email Address.
Complete Additional information if applicable and mark the checkbox labeled ”I have read and agree to
abide by the CAMSS Forum rules.

Click on “”Complete Registration” on the bottom right screen to finish.
The website will display the following after successful registration.
Click on “Forum” to view the Main Forum category.
Click on “Main Forum” to view all the topic threads available to members.

There are two thread topics displayed below:
To view the thread, click on the title of the thread. Below is a sample thread.
To create a posting, EITHER click on “Reply to Thread” OR click in the Editor area under “Quick Reply”

When the selected click is “Reply to Thread”, then the webpage displays data-entry fields (similar to
creating an Email) e.g. Title, Subject, Post icons, Attachment (Valid file extensions: bmp, doc, gif, jpe,
jpeg, jpg, pdf, png, psd, txt, zip), Subscription (Subscribe to this thread and notify me of changes:
Choices are Notify me through Control Panel or email instantly/ daily/ weekly)

Located at the bottom of the message page is an option to either preview your post or submit the new
thread.
If you used the “Quick Reply” editor does allow data-entry but does not allow the user to add a file
attachment, title, icons, alert notification frequency of responses to thread etc.

There is the Quick Navigation shortcut menu available on the right side for more choices. By clicking
on the Quick Navigation menu choice, the menu will expand and display as below.
If you try to post a discussion thread before successful login to the Discussion Board, you will be
presented with:

When a user profile is edited, the following screen is displayed.
When a user profile’s Inbox is selected, the following screen is displayed.

There is also a feature to add a picture to your user profile so that it will be displayed on the thread
posting along with your user name.
After you have submitted your reply, the Forum title displays the header noting your name and time.

When you have finished working with the Discussion Board, then select “Logout” at the top right menu
to exit the webpage.
