I wish you all the best. I live in Canada and I have always wanted to go to
Australia. It just so happens we share the same birthday. I too have my birthday
on July 24th. I remember when you were born. I loved watching your dad's
show, and I truly miss watching his enthusiasm for animals and his passion for?
their protection. Now you are teaching the world to be just as compassionate and
knowledgeable about animals. The conservation of the planet is so important.
Keep up the great work Bindi.

This is what it's like in the U.S.
13: You're a teenager.

21: You can drink and gamble.
I don't exactly know what it's like for you in Australia, though. Well anyway... Happy birthday, Bindi!

13 Books for You to Read
1. The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
Twilight is a series of four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels by American author
Stephenie Meyer. It charts a period in the life of Isabella "Bella" Swan, a teenage girl who
moves to Forks, Washington, and falls in love with a 104-year-old vampire named Edward Cullen.
The series is told primarily from Bella's point of view, with the epilogue of Eclipse and Part II
of Breaking Dawn being told from the viewpoint of character Jacob Black, a werewolf.
2. Harry Potter Saga by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling.
The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent wizard Harry Potter and his best
friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's quest to overcome the evil
dark wizard Lord Voldemort, whose aim is to conquer the wizarding world and subjugate nonmagical people, and who seeks to destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry
himself.
3. Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels for children by C. S. Lewis. Set in
the fictional realm of Narnia, a place where animals talk, magic is common, and good battles evil,
the series narrates the adventures of various children who play central roles in the unfolding
history of that world. With the exception of The Horse and His Boy, the protagonists are all
children from the real world magically transported to Narnia, where they are called upon by the
lion Aslan to protect Narnia from evil and restore the throne to its rightful line. The books
cover the entire history of Narnia, from its creation in The Magician's Nephew, to its eventual
destruction in The Last Battle.
4. Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
The Lord of the Rings is a high fantasy epic written by philologist and
University of Oxford professor J. R. R. Tolkien. The title of the novel
refers to the story's main antagonist, the Dark Lord Sauron, who had in an
earlier age created the One Ring to rule the other Rings of Power as the
ultimate weapon in his campaign to conquer and rule all of Middle-earth.
From quiet beginnings in the Shire, a Hobbit land not unlike the English
countryside, the story ranges across north-west Middle-earth, following the course of the War of the Ring
through the eyes of its characters, notably the Hobbits Frodo Baggins, Samwise "Sam" Gamgee, Meriadoc "Merry"
Brandybuck and Peregrin "Pippin" Took, but also the Hobbits' chief allies and travelling companions: Aragorn, a
Human Ranger, Boromir, a Human nobleman, Gimli, a Dwarf warrior, Legolas, an Elven prince, and Gandalf, a Wizard.

5. Inheritance Cycle series by Christopher Paolini
The Inheritance Cycle is a series of fantasy novels by Christopher Paolini. It was
previously titled the Inheritance Trilogy until Paolini's announcement on October 30, 2007
that there would be a fourth book. Set in the fictional world of Alagaësia (pronounced
/æləˈɡeɪziə/), the novels focus on a teenage boy named Eragon and his dragon Saphira.
The first book in the series, Eragon, was self-published by Paolini's family in 2002 and republished in 2003 by Knopf; it was followed by Eldest in 2005. Both were New York Times
bestsellers and together have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. The third book
in the series, Brisingr, was published on September 20, 2008, and the fourth book,
Inheritance, is set to be released on November 8, 2011. The series was intended to be a
trilogy, but this changed as Paolini decided that the story was too complex to conclude in
one book.
6. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
The Diary of a Young Girl is a book of the writings from the Dutch language diary kept by
Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation
of the Netherlands. The family was apprehended in 1944 and Anne Frank ultimately died of
typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. After the war, the diary was retrieved by
Anne's father, Otto Frank, the only known survivor of the family. The diary has now been
published in more than 60 different languages.
7. Begging for Change by Sharon Flake
This sequel to Money Hungry offers a compelling slice of urban life for a contemporary
African-American teen. When Raspberry Hill's mother is hit in the head with a metal pipe and
hospitalized, the 14-year-old steals money from her wealthy best friend's purse. She does odd
jobs to earn additional money, only to have it stolen by her homeless, drug-addicted father
more than once. Readers come to know Raspberry, her friends, and the people around her.
While some are dangerous, a sense of community caring comes through, and she finds help
among supportive adults. She is a survivor with a good heart, although she questions herself
along the way, always worrying that she will end up like her father. With good friends and a
truly loving mother to help her through, it's clear that Raspberry will make it, even if she gets
a little bruised in the process. A story with an inspiring but not preachy message.
8. Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera
A poetic blend of reality and myth provides a riveting tale of adventure and passion. An
ancient whale ridden by a mystical man rises from the sea, the rider throwing spears that
blossom like seeds into gifts of nature. One last spear "-flew across a thousand years. When
it hit the earth, it did not change but waited for another hundred and fifty years to pass
until it was needed." It sprouts when Kahu, a girl child, is born to the eldest grandson of the
chief of the Maori in Whangara, New Zealand. Koro Apirana is disgusted; he needs a male
child to continue the line of descent in the tribe. The years that follow further harden his
heart toward his great-granddaughter in spite of the bottomless love and respect she
showers upon him. The child's great-grandmother, the irreverent Nanny Flowers, proves to
be the strength of this family; she nurtures the girl whom she knows holds the key to the
future.
31
9. No More Dead Dogs by Gordon Korman
Here's one for every reader weary of being assigned novels in which the dog dies. For expressing
his true views of Old Shep, My Pal, eighth-grade football hero Wallace Wallace earns a detention
that takes him off the team and plunks him down in the auditorium, where his almost equally
stubborn English teacher is directing a theatrical version of--you guessed it. To the delight of
some cast members, but the loud outrage of Drama Club President, Rachel Turner, Wallace
Wallace makes a few suggestions to punch up the production; by the end, it's a rock musical and
the (stuffed) pooch actually pulls through. At least, that's the plan.
10. Tomorrowland: 10 Stories about the Future by Michael Cart
In homage to the new millennium, young adult literature critic and author Michael Cart (My
Father's Scar) invites nine well-known writers to join him in crafting a story about the future.
"Since we are what we were," he notes, "retrospection might also be in order." Ranging from
sibling rivalries to dating hassles, all the short stories have some common trait we all can relate
to like fear, loyality, faith, love, envy, anger, hatred and so on. Stories are "ranging from joyfully
optimistic to darkly ironic in tone."
11. Chocolate Box Girls: Cherry Crush by Cathy Cassidy
Cherry Costello's life is about to change forever. She and Dad are moving to Somerset where
a new mum and a bunch of brand-new sisters await.
And on Cherry's first day there she meets Shay Fletcher; with suntanned skin and sea-green
eyes he's the kind of boy who should carry a government health warning.
But Shay already has a girlfriend, Cherry's new stepsister, Honey. Cherry knows her
friendship with Shay is dangerous - it could destroy everything. But that doesn't mean she's
going to stay away from him...
12. The Butterfly Lion by Micheal Murpogo
The Butterfly Lion grew from several magical roots: The memories of a small boy who tried
to run away from school a long time ago; a book about a pride of white lions discovered by
Chris McBride; a chance meeting in a lift with Virginia McKenna, actress and champion of
lions and all creatures born free; a true story of a soldier of the First World War who
rescued some circus animals in France from certain death; and the sighting from a train of a
white horse carved out on a chalky hillside near Westbury in Wiltshire.
13. Lucky Star by Cathy Cassidy
Mouse is doing his best to stay out of trouble. Cat is doing her best to land herself in it.
They've both had it pretty tough so when they meet by chance they thank their lucky stars.
Weird and wonderful things happen when they're together - but how long can it last?
Because everyone has their secrets - and there can be only one winner in a game of cat and
mouse. Can't there?
