5th WORLD UNIVERSITY SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP Al Ain, United Arab Emirates 08-12 October 2014 BULLETIN No.1 The 5thWorld University Shooting Championship will be organized by the Organizing Committee of WUSC 2014 in Al Ain United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of his Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan Minister, Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development and the President of Arab University Sports Federation and the auspices of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in accordance with the most recent technical rules of the appropriate FSIs unless otherwise stated by the Executive Committee. VENUE: Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club web page: http://aesgc.com/home.php ACCOMMODATION & CATERING Participants of 5th World University Shooting Championship in 2014 will be accommodated in single, double and triple rooms of the Al Ain Hili Rotana Hotel (Five Star Hotel), we guarantee that the accommodation, catering will be satisfactory for the participants. All the delegations will have their meals at the same hotel. breakefast, lunch and dinner will be in buffet style. Everybody can choose what he likes. Refreshments will be available involving warm and cold drinks, juices, pastries, fruit and vegetable and biscuits. web page: http://www.rotana.com/rotanahotelandresorts/unitedarabemirates/alain/alainrotana TRANSPORT Al-Ain Ain is located in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi Emirate just south of Dubai and east of Abu Dhabi.. distance from these cities around 150km and the journey take about only 1,5 hour Transport from/to airport The nearest international Airports is Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport (distance about 150km, travel time t about 1,5 hour) OC will provide transport between the Airports and the accommodation in Al Ain according the arrival/departure schedule of delegations. The transport of participants will be monitored by the members of OC at airport based upon information information provided in advance regarding arrivals/departures and based upon the actual situation (delay or etc:-). etc: Transport to/from sport venuevenue Al Ain Shooting Club Distance between accommodation place, Al Ain Hili Rotana and Al Ain Shooting Club is about 15k 15km m and the journey takes approx.30 minutes. OC will provide shuttle bus service between accommodation place and sport venue Al Ain Shooting Club for all participants. OC will create fixed bus time table according to sport program. ACCREDITATION: All accreditation services will be organized in the accommodation hotel The Accreditation Card is an official accreditation certificate that gives access to sports venues, official accommodation and to any other facilities or services agreed between the Organizing Committee and the Executive Committee of FISU. Accreditation Card will be provided after the completion of accreditation procedures. Upon arrival to the Accreditation Center Head of Delegation should verify the name list of his delegation, confirm duration of delegation s stay and pay the participation fees. Heads of Delegations shall collect relevant documents of every delegation member (passport, Students ID or certificate/FISU Eligibility Form), and sort them out by identity (athlete/official), gender to be reviewed by the CIC member. Accreditation cards will only be issued to competitors and officials whose dossiers have been approved by the CIC. Participants are required to always keep their cards with them. Accreditation cards may not be transferred or lent to a third party under any circumstances. In case Accreditation Card is lost, stolen or damaged, the card holder should report to the Accreditation Centre and submit a written application for issuance of the new card. Lost or damaged card will be cancelled in the Accreditation System. For online Accreditation please follow the link below http://www.wuc.in-1.it/ TECHNICAL REGULTIONS: The Sport-Shooting event will be organized in accordance with the most recent technical rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) unless otherwise stated by the Executive Committee. In the events of a disagreement in the interpretation of these rules, the English text will be regarded as authoritative. The programme and duration of the competitions are fixed by the Executive Committee in agreement with the Organizing Committee and the CTI. The competitions will last five (5) days and will include the following events. Rifle Discipline Events for Men Events for Women 50 m Rifle Prone Men (60 shots) 50 m Rifle Prone Women (60 shots) 50 m Rifle 3 Positions Men(3*40) 50 m Rifle 3 Positions Women(3*20) 10 m Air Rifle Men (60 shots) 10 m Air Rifle Women (40 shots) Pistol Events for Men 50 m Pistol Men (60 shots) 10 m Air Pistol Men (60 shots) Discipline Events for Women 25 m Pistol Women (30 + 30 shots ) 10 m Air Pistol Women (40 shots) 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol Men(60shots) 25 m Standard Pistol Men (3*20) shots / Shotgun Discipline Events for Men Skeet men (125 Targets ) Events for Women Skeet Women (75 Targets) Trap Men (125 Targets ) Trap Women (75 Targets ) Double Trap Men (150 Targets) Each country may enter maximum of thirty-six (36) competitors and the maximum of six (6) officials as follows: INDIVIDUAL EVENTS Events for Men In the group disciplines: men - rifle, women - rifle may start maximum five (5) competitors and only Three (3) competitors in each particular discipline: In the group discipline: men - pistol may start maximum seven (7) competitors and only three (3) in each particular discipline; In group disciplines: women - pistol may start maximum four (4) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline; In group disciplines: men - trap, skeet and double trap may start maximum nine (9) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline; In group disciplines: women - trap, double trap and skeet may start maximum nine (9) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline TEAM EVENTS Three (3) - competitor teams in each particular discipline; At the first General Technical Meeting, the Head of delegation or his representative shall confirm and sign the official list of the accredited competitors. FINANCIAL CONDITION: FISU Registration Fee: FISU shall receive from each competing country the following entry fees: Effective members of FISU: Twenty (20) Euros per competitor and official Other associations: Forty (40) Euros per competitor and official. During the accreditation process, participating delegations will be invoiced the amount referring to the FISU registration fee, this invoice will be addressed to the delegation s NUSF and will be balanced at the end of the 2014 WUC season. Travel Cost: The countries shall be responsible for their own round-trip travel costs to the nearest International Airport. The nearest international Airports is Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport Participation Fee: The registration fee is 60 (sixty) Euro per person per day. The payment can be made in advance or upon arrival. The countries that submitted the applications for participating in individual sports are to confirm their participation three months prior to the competitions by paying a deposit of not less than 25% (twenty five) of the total fee per the registered athlete or official into the current account of the Organizing Committee. The remaining sum is to be paid before the participants arrive or upon the first day of arrival.
